Default Clickbank: direct linking to payment page

Hello warriors,

I am an affiliate who creates my own sales pages for less-than-desirable clickbank products.

Does anyone know how to direct link from my sales page to clickbank payment page assuming two requirements:

1) Insert my affiliate cookie
2) Insert a sub ID so I can track my sales

Anyone?

Thanks!

I know there is a way you can do this, but I don't think it's a good idea. Check out the thread below and pay special attention to Woody Crenshaw's reply

Sorry - I don't know the answer to your question, but I can't resist asking what you mean by "less-than-desirable clickbank products" !

Do you mean, as I think you do, products that have rubbish sales pages that you would prefer your prospects not to see ...

... or do you mean products that are actually crap??

lol

I use hopguard. check it out. it will cloak your links,
You'll be able to keep track of all sales from all affiliates and you can even set up
different sales pages for different promos etc.
hope this helps a little.

If you want to send your visitors straight to a clickbank order page and still
get the affiliate credit here what you need to do.

1.) Right click on the merchants order link (on their salespage) and
choose "copy link location"
2.) Paste that link onto your landing page where you want the link to be like
you would your normal clickbank hop link
3.) Edit the link you just pasted to have your affiliate ID in front of the
merchants ID with an _underscore_ in between both ID's
4.) Publish and test the link by deleting any cookies you have from that
product, then clicking your link, and look to see if your affiliate ID is at the
bottom of their order form.

Example: Google Nemesis
My affiliate ID is: simzeb

The order link (found on salespage) is http: // 3. djknemesis. pay. clickbank. net/

The new link for my landing page that bypasses the Google Nemesis
salespage is http: //3. simzeb_djknemesis. pay. clickbank. net/

Thanks Steveniam,

That is what I've been doing so far, but there are two problems with it:

1) you cannot over-write any previous cookie, so if the user has visited that product before via a standard hoplink, I won't get the sale

2) I cannot insert any tracking subID which is crucial for us PPC marketers.

That's why I am looking for a new way to do it.

It's actually rather simple:

You execute the hoplink with your TID appended "in the background", which is usually called "cookie stuffing" and LIKELY not 100% in accordance with clickbank tos!

The goal is to set the cookie on the user's computer before he goes to the actual payment page. You can execute a hoplink in iframes, or in pop-up window, even more trickery stuff like specifying a hoplink as source URL for an "image", things like that.

Be advised that CB wants that all hoplinks open as main/top window...so "hidden" hoplinks would be against their TOS. If you can do some HTML you might come up with something using iframes. You could open an iframe pointing to the original site (via hoplink) within your site which would make sure the cookie is being set.

Otherwise, what steveniam says.

Don't forget that according to Clickbank's rules, you need the vendor's permission to do this.

(I must say I don't envisage ever doing it, myself: with over 10,000 products there to choose from, if something has a sales page I don't want my potential customers to see, I'll just choose another product instead).
