Is it OK to put my own Amazon affiliate links on Squidoo, in a text module? I did this on a few recent lenses, and it seems to work. However, I was reading up on Squidoo today and saw a few blog and forum posts where people say that you can't do that. It seems you can only make Amazon offers through Squidoo's Amazon modules, or by using SquidUtils - both of which have you splitting your commission. Some of these posts are old, and some don't have dates. So, although mine seem to be working, I want to make sure that I'm not violating some obscure TOS point I may have missed. Thanks, Jason |

Using the Squidoo's Amazon modules is easier (and could potentially earn you more) while the links provided by SquidUtils are designed to look like Amazon's Product Links (which aren't compatible). If you're willing to do the work, you can create HTML with images and links to promote products. The modules and tools mentioned above are there to make the process simpler and quicker.
