Why aren't threads an RSS feed?

It should would be nice if a forum like this was somehow an RSS feed.

I would add the RSS feed from great post, like some in the War Room, into my Google Reader, and I'd be notified instantly when a new post occurred. With a place like the War Room, you'd be getting updated on new things that happen in that certain topic the thread is about.

I am sure this forum already has something similar.

If so please let me know.

I'm not aware of any RSS feeds for the forum. You could ask the help desk and get a definitive answer, though.

The problem would come when, rather than adding feeds to a reader like you want to do, unscrupulous types add the feeds into autobloggers and other scraping programs to clone the content for their own purposes.

One way to keep track of threads is by subscribing to them. If you look under "Thread Tools" you will see the option. You can choose to be notified of new posts by email. Or, you can look under your User CP and find an option for Subscribed Threads. This will give you a list of the threads you are subscribed to, with any having posts you haven't read in bold and moved to the top of the list.
