How Many Articles It Takes For A Viral Effect

All Article Marketers, using article marketing alone, is it possible to trigger a viral effect after so submitting so many articles? If so, approximately how many articles it takes before seeing such effect? Or, no matter how many articles you submit, do they work only temporarily, causing no viral effect?

Viral marketing depends on the content of your articles. You have to write the kind of article that people want to share with the rest of the world. If you don't write an article like that, you never get a viral effect.

So, does this mean that article marketing may not be a good long-term strategy for making affiliate sales? Is it better to develop an authority site, instead?

It means that viral marketing is not necessary for affiliate sales.

I've heard some article marketers say that a snowball effect takes place after you've submitted about a couple thousand articles to Ezine Articles. I don't know how true this theory is because I don't have near that many articles in any niches.

I understand that more people searching for uncommon keyword phrases find articles more than ones searching for common keyword phrases. So, this makes me wonder if article marketing is a numbers game.
