Myself and my wife launched a niche site back in August, and since then we have been steadily building it as an authority site. It now has a lot of content on there which we add regularly, we have a list, we get organic traffic every day and it is closing in on the top 10(currently at 13) in Google for it's main keyword(around 500 searches per day on average). Up until now we have been promoting Clickbank products on there with some moderate success. We have always planned to build the site, then create and launch our own product. I think the product is going to be an Ebook, probably between 50 and 100 pages. There are a number of similar products in this niche that sell extremely well, and the ones on Clickbank usually cost between $37 and $50. I want to sell ours for less than that, no more than $27 but more likely $17 We will of course be selling it on our site, but I'm wondering if we should think bigger and submit it to Clickbank and the like also, and even have our own affiliate program. Of course, if we are going to do that we may have to rethink the price. We plan to start writing it in January, with the aim to have it completed within a month or so. Whether it will be listed on Clickbank or not, we want it to compare favourably with other products on the market for this niche.OK, onto my questions - this will be the first time I have ever created, launched and promoted a digital product so I'd really like to know the best ways to go about it - and there's no better people to ask than my fellow Warriors So here goes:--What would you recommend for the actual creation of the book? Doesn't matter if it's free or paid. -What are the best ways to digitally secure it? -How would you recommend we sell it from our site? What payment processor etc? -How would you recommend we go about creating an affiliate program for it? I know I'm asking for quite a lot of info, but I'm completely new to this, so would really appreciate some helpful advice |

Hi Liam, These are the exact questions me and my partner Ivana had when preparing to launch our products. We did not go for Clickbank because they only pay by checks, payments are not instant, and we`ve read a few negative posts about it. So we chose RAP (rapidactionprofits.com) script, and we are happy with it. Of course, it takes time to set everything up, to set each product up, but it is very flexible. Our affiliates get paid instantly, and we do not have to pay any % to any third party. It has a payment processor (PayPal) in place. Sorry not sure what you mean by question one, but to secure - with RAP, it is a secure download, people do not know the link your product is at. Hope this helps. |

"Clickbank only pays by checks" statement isn't true Alex. They've been doing bank transfers for ages now. And even publicly within the site for some time, you just need more than 5 sales I believe to have the option to have the sales go into your bank. Weekly if you wish. The other advantage of cb is the huge amount of affiliates in the marketplace that can get behind it. I can't speak for rap though, haven't used it yet. Heard some good things though |

-What would you recommend for the actual creation of the book? Doesn't matter if it's free or paid. I would recommend creating it as a video info product because it has more perceived value. Do not hesitate to just do a PPT screen recording with your voice. -What are the best ways to digitally secure it? e-junkie.com -How would you recommend we sell it from our site? What payment processor etc? All three: PayPal, clickbank, Google Checkout -How would you recommend we go about creating an affiliate program for it? ClickBank I answered your question in a hurry, but I hope I helped to some extent! |

I like your idea about a video info product, I hadn't even considered that. Maybe we could have videos in every chapter/section of the Ebook explaining the specific tips/advice that are in text.

are many out there, free and paid. I have Wordperfect, which makes PDFs on it's own... so check the software you have. Layout is another issue, because some software is relatively easy to use for layout and others is not so easy. Quote:
who want to sell digital products, affiliate programs and membership sites. If you want to run your own script like RAP that's another layer of technology you'll be dealing with; no big deal but scripts take time to learn and troubleshoot installations to get them working right. Quote:
alternate payment methods as well with different providers. Quote:
service - a program that integrates payment, deliver, and affiliate stuff all in one panel for all your products. If you don't integrate that way it's no big deal for one product or website, but as you expand your offerings a lot of stitched-together systems become like an albatross around your neck. | ||||
