Question regarding Odesk.com

I am going to start hiring writers to outsource my article marketing. I just had a quick question. If I hire someone to rewrite articles for me at $2 to $4 an hour, how many articles should I expect them to write per hour? I would want the articles to be between 250 to 400 words. I would hire the person to target two specific niches, and I would have them send the articles to me to submit them to Ezine.

Any opinions on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,

    It depend on the writer's skill, but usually per hours, they will finish 2-3 articles. A little advice, you could also hire in fixed price, I mean, you can hire a writer to write for fixed $2 or whatever price you feel comfortable with.

    That way, you don't have to worry for how many articles they will finished in an hour.

      Well...I was given advice that it is better to hire per hour as opposed to hiring per project. I guess that is another question to ask regarding Odesk.com

    i never do per hr, at the end of the day you cant see what they are doing

    what are the pros of per hr?

    In my experience it really depends on the writer. But they could actually churn out 2-3 articles in an hour depending on the niche of course. If it is a known niche or a popular niche then it would only take them an hour to make 3 good ones.

    Many writers on ODesk like to be paid per hour and some writers are kind of cautious towards the fixed price projects. A lot of the writers are able to complete 2 articles per hour.

        This is all really helpful information. How can I track someone's work if I have them do social bookmarking or backlinks for me? Is that also tracked in the site where they have to log on while they do the work?
