Offline Email Marketing

Guys, I am about ready to start my offline business and I want to do a email marketing campaign to attract potential new clients. Here are some things that I am looking for.


Email templates that have a strong call to action

Email Subject/headlines that get people to open the email


I am going to be doing this full-time and see how it works, but want at least some tried and true methods for emailing this market. Thanks for any help or suggestions. I am planning on starting on Monday, but want to get my ducks in a row.

    Hi Rocketguy,

    Email campaigns are from my experience the least responsive. Most businesses are inundated with email offers that they most likely go straight into the Spam folders.

    You are better off talking with business owners you already know to get some clients under your belt. Thereafter Referalls can play a big part.

    I was reading on here somewhere on there was someone having pretty good success emailing business owners. I mean once you have a good template it only takes a second to send it.

    Emailing in my opinion is not as receptive as cold calling!

    If I were you I would try cold calling or talking to people you know that own a business first. Because if emailign doesn't work first time around you may be likely to give up as many do! So, try something a little more proactive first!!

      I know you like cold calling in your offline business and I have seen you recommend it, what would you say the percentage of your clients come from cold calling vs emailing, direct mail or just going out meeting biz owners?

    I doubt you will get offers of free email templates or email follow-up series. There are warriors who have WSO's running that offer this info...

    Shawn O'Riley is the one to look into if you plan to persure the email route. He has a very informative newsletter & a few WSO's that make it all easier to implement & understand so you stand a much better chance of success.

    I use emails for follow-ups only, not as a main plan of attack. I have tried it but with very limited success...but, that could just be me. I'm sure if it's done correctly, it can be very rewarding....Shawn O'Riley is making it work quite well...so it can be done!!

    Maybe you can check back to this thread & update us on your progress....be it good or bad. Others can learn from your experince...

    What ever path you chose, Congrat's!! Your taking action!

    Tj, well if it works then yes. You are doing the same then when you cold call or drop by their business and attempt to sell them on your services. I am not a big fan of cold calling and I could see going door to door as something that isn't for me either.

    What other form of contact do you suggest then?

    Phone spam? Calling random businesses with unsolicitated offers...

    Or direct mail spam? Bombarding buisness mail boxes with various unsolicitated offers...

    Or person contact spam? I'm sure business owners are not sitting around thinking to themslves..."i wish some consultant would bust through my door with-in the next 10 minutes with offers to improve my website, cut my advertising costs & improve my bottomline".....when we walk into businesses...it's unsolicited...it's spam.

    When it comes down to it...spam = a sales process. It's part of business...
    The business owners spam customers by sending frequent, unsolicited direct mailings to my house...why? They understand it's acceptable...they understand It's business!!

    It's Much different than my personal email...
    One business email to one chosen recipient is not spam....

    Email is an accepted form of business contact. Most business owners have email accounts for such contacts....not just to get their daily horoscope...

    Yes, I have no problem sending out personalized emails to potential customers in my area. I think it should work for me and my personality.

    I am currently drafting up some emails that will be personalized for each industry and area. The one thing that I am struggling with is the subject title of the email. This is very important because I need people to open up the emails and read them.
