Default Wordpress Question

I just recently started with my first wordpress website. The first post I submitted ended up having quite a few typos and grammatical errors. In fact I ended up editing the post 10 times to make it look exactly how I wanted it to.

My question is: With me having edited the post so many times, will all of the update services that I have ready to ping my blog have gotten pinged after every revision of the post? I wasn't sure if that would happen and I want to make sure that my website isn't looking spammy because I made a bunch of edits.

Thanks for anyone that can answer this question.

The answer is YES.
The remedy is this plugin: WordPress › MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer WordPress Plugins

In the first half of the year we are supposed to work for the taxman. I think that's a mistake.
Help me to get rid of the taxman ASAP - thanks! (You, too, should make less mistakes!)

Also when you edit you are filling up your database with all your revisions. Easy fix is to run the wp optimize plugin to give it a clean out see my post on it the other day: Clean Your Blog Database

Ok. After reviewing my plugins, I do have that plugin installed already and activated, and it has been activated since before I made my first post. So as long as this plugin is installed and activated, all of those revisions I made to my first post will not be flagged as spam posts, correct?

Why wait until your DB is full of revisions?
1. WordPress › Revision Control WordPress Plugins
2. WordPress › No Revisions WordPress Plugins

(EDIT: this was a response to Leanne)

MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer <--shows you what pings are/were sent out & which ping servers are responding. Requires registration & viewing a pitch page. Great plugin.

Revision Control <--limits the revisions stored in your db.

Along with the others already mentioned....

Any half-way decent ping service script today can figure out that it's a human edit and ignore the extra pings. They get 1000's of redundant pings like this every day.

Now, if you ran some sort of pinging script that pinged them 10,000 times a second, that would be spammy. 10 edits in 10 minutes? That would be ignored unless they haven't updated their script since 2005.
