I use authorize.net + cartfreak (a great shopping cart), and I have customers who commonly come to my site, type in their CC info wrong, and then still see a pending charge on their CC. They are not really charged, but their banks temporary hold the funds. Authorize.net tells me this is how it is for everyone... But I am bombarded with emials from customers saying they were double charged, etc. , even when they were really not. What is the best way to handle customers on this issue? What do you say to them? If someone could kindly help me, this would be much appreciated. |
