Default EZA Success Story

With all the moaning about Ezine Articles going on lately, I thought I'd share something that happened today.

It involves an article I wrote in April 2007, the 3rd article I ever wrote and submitted to EZA... before I knew what keywords were or how to write a bio that would mesmerize people enough to want to click thru to my website. It's a well-written article, even if I do say so myself , and it's 634 words.

Well, I was wondering why I was suddenly getting more than the usual number of opt-ins to one of my newsletters when Google Alerts showed me why. The article was just picked up and published by a page ranked 4 site.

Results so far (it was just published on the site this morning):
31 new opt-ins
2 sales
5 nice comments on the article (makes me feel good )
and a couple bucks more in AdSense

Sweet! Every little bit helps.

Peggy

Good luck on seeing similar results in the future!

Congratulations! A great tip is contacting the top blogs in your niche and asking if they in return for some GREAT content would allow a link back to your main site at the end of the article. Contact 10 blogs and you are bound to get 1-3 people to agree, IF (BIG IF) your content is just jammin.

Based off of your results:

Get three blogs to do this arrangement with you.
93 new opt-ins
6 sales
ALL for free and within the first day of the post!

Peggy,

Great job! That's one of the cool benefits about taking the time to write a high quality article. It seems like many marketers focus too much on submitting as many articles as possible. The fact is that one well-written article can outpull several 250 word articles in terms of both article visits and click thru rates.

Thanks for sharing your success story, Peggy. I truly appreciate it.

Thanks guys! It's not the first time this article has been republished, but I'm amazed that it keeps going on and on... like the Energizer Bunny. From 04/07 for pete sake!

Integrity - I have done this in the past - connected with site owners who have published an article of mine and seem like a good fit with what I write. It's a win-win, they get great content and I get the back link.

I also have a place on this particular site where people can opt-in to be notified when I've written new articles, and I've got some site owners doing that.
