Hello Fellow Warriors. Ever since I joined the War Room I realized how Valuable posting Hot Post to a forum can be, and how quickly you can gain credibility and trust by just giving. Obviously when you are first starting out it is hard to give, for the reason that you are still in the learning process. But I try to move towards the things that will make me grow, so I want to start giving to the community. How do you do it? How do you gain motivation to saying, "I am going to write a Hot Post today?" I wish people who have posted in the War Room with hot post can explain to me their process and where the motivation comes from to make hot post. Thank you. |

you can post something of value you recently learned with you own twist on it or something controversial that gets people arguing or debating usually do the trick.

I think you're missing the point. The reason they turn out to be 'hot' posts is not because people are sitting there straining to think how to make a hot post - but that they're sharing something from the heart that they genuinely think will help others. I've made posts that have had over 9000 views but some of my best stuff also gets a lot less. Most people are not trying to think how to make people think of them in a certain way, just sharing. When you find something that really speaks to you about a poweful element of success you may just get the result you want, but looking for it is not likely to bring it. |

So I thought that maybe you researched a bit to see what people want to know. | |

I can't even imagine spending time trying to purposefully come up with "hot posts." But I'll tell you one way I've learned to do it without even meaning to: come down really hard on one side of the fence about something controversial. Unless you do it at 4 am on a weekend around here, you're almost sure to gin up the hordes into a frothing mass of heated debated. Hey, there are worse ways to spend a day than exercising your debating muscles.

exactly what these guys have been saying. i mean, you would obviously want a hot post, so that you'd get a gazillion thank yous..so that it appears to people you're extremely credible and what not. but that's completely besides the point. your purpose should be to help people. i'm pretty sure most of these so called hot posts that get a lot of views are impromptu work. if they suddenly have something cool to share, they will type it out. if not, they don't. |

Okay so the lesson here is to tell others your story when you run into something new, when you get through something you could not before, and when you are stuck somewhere and need some guidance. That is normally what I do, but I said what the heck, I feel like talking to my fellow Warriors ![]() Thank you all for your replies. |

By hot posts I assume you mean posts with a lot of replies? This is not hard as there are some topics which always get a lot of replies although they have been asked quite a few times already. eg. what is the best autoresponder to use? How do you pronounce niche? Recommend any good designers? But a good hot post is something which is useful, somewhat original and genuinely written with the intention of helping others. |
