Give them what they want!!

Hello Warriors,

I have been helping someone make there first pennies online but its bloody hard work they seem to dart around from one thing to the next... stays with what I say for 2 days then moves on to something else then moans that they not made any money at the end of the month!

Taking a look at their sites and I couls see why, they just were not delivering what they promised. I have a site I made it in 3 hours on a rainy day never done anything else to it and just left it alone.... a year later and it has been making £10 every month.

The reason for this is because I actually give the searcher what they are looking for. why advertise selling ladies watches then showing them handbags?

Maybe when you set a site up you need to think who its for and will my visitor get what they are after?

Analytics is fantastic to find what people came to your site looking for and whT i do is go back and do the search using teh keyword they used and basically see if my site ticks all the boxes. But also you may find that you could make extra money selling handbags or see what other keywords are bring people to your site

Giving People what they want, its what we are all about, or should be. Providing content that is valuable will make money. I think one of the problems a lot of people have is lack of confidence in themselves. It shows in the way they write and how they promote themselves. IF you don't believe in what you are saying, why should anyone else?

That's the part new marketers don't want to hear - they want to put up a site, get it indexed fast, do a little work and make money within a week or two.

I definiatly think that IM is a long term investment if I want quick money I will go work behind a bar!!!

And because of their haste to get indexed fast, they spam and get their sites banned.

This makes me cringe.

A couple of months ago, after reading a post on this forum, I was inspired to spend quite a few of my hard earned pennies on professional copy writing, in order to create a site based heavily on content.

The result, is Laguna Beach Stays.

After about 3-4 months, I have made only 50c on income...probably because I lost interest once the dollars didn't come rolling in straight away. To be honest, the site gets very little traffic, which is probably its main problem, as the niche is a reasonably well paying one when the season is right.

Do you think this site is a useful resource, and that I can actually make a few bob with it, if I do a few more 'hard yards'?

Giving people what they want is one of the most vital subjects in any business, no matter is online or offline. Although i know that and i give my customers what they want i still can't figure why some of them aren't opening my e-mails.

Anyway, i guess i just have to send them more targeted offers.

Thank you for pointing out that, I am guilty of it.

It can be very dangerous, because at the end of the day you get stuck with hundreds of domains and no income.
