Need a little help monetizing my blog

I was wondering if someone here with experience could help me out a little.
I need some help on how to get the most out of my blog.

I'm promoting and affiliate offer and I'm collecting email addresses.
I just need a few pointers here and there.

1. Advertising systems such as AdSense, Blogads, DoubleClick, and Kanoodle among others.

2. Finding advertisers or sponsors yourself by having an "Advertise Here" button and an Advertising page on your blog.

3. Affiliate programs (like what you're doing know).

4. Asking for donations.

5. Charging subscription fee for accessing to exclusive content and/or private forum.

write few keyword targeted articles, upload a video and in the decription write the keywords you are looking for. Put up the link would have been useful

One person I looked to when I created my blog was Alex Sysoef. He has free software called Expert Wordpress. There is a paid version of it as well, the only difference is if you pay for it you get lots of video tutorials to help you get everything set up and running optimally as well as several additional wordpress themes.

Alex really knows what he is talking about, I have been on his list for well over a year. I've set up 3 blogs using expert wordpress because it has several different monitizing methods already built into it. I would put a link to his site if my post count was higher...but just google his name and expert wordpress I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding it.

Like everybody else has said, a link to your blog would be good--you don't even have one in your signature (psst--you need a signature)!

Blog monetization varies--what works for one person won't work for another and before we can give you good advice (instead of the general stuff) we'll need to take a look at what you're working on.

Hi Heimir,
well the first thing you should do is ping it at pingomatic.com and submit to technocrati.Ther are many sites out there like technocrati, the more you submit the better.
In general try to build links which improve your seo's using the following tips:
1. Exchange links with other bloggers
2. Use BlogRush (I think they might have closed down)
3. Submit to RSS directories
4. Submit to blog directories (as above)
5. Submit to general directories
6. Start a 2nd blog and link to yourself (or 3rd , 4th, 5th)
7. Create and give away blog themes (with a link to your blog in the footer)
8. Create free plugins
9. Create link bait
10. Participate in blog carnivals
11. Comment on DoFollow blogs
12. WordPress Backlinks Plugin
13. Join communities at MyBlogLog
14. Join communities at Bumpzee
15. Join communities at Blog Catalog
16. Start a community at any of these sites
17. Comment on other blogs in your niche
18. Email your friends and contacts about a new blog post that may interest them
19. Email your readers to say “thank you”
20. Email other bloggers to introduce yourself
21. Link out to other blogs

Of cours there's traffic exchanges and you can even write articles and promote you links in the articles.Good Luck

Hi,

If I saw your blog, I could give some more tips.
If you have a word press blog, I would recommend installing the only wire plugin and ping optimiser - really great for bringing traffic to your site.

I don't need help on how to get traffic but rather how to sell to the visitors.
