For those who make money with adsense sites, what is your opinion about the header? Do you feel you need an attractive header to make more money, or is it all about the keywords and marketing? Alan |

The ultimate goal of an adsense site is to get your visitor to leave your site as quickly as possible (by clicking your adsense ad-unit of course). I don't think you should invest too much time or money into getting an "attractive" header created. For most of my adsense sites, I go for image-less headers and use the H1 tags in the header title to help my rankings. |

With adsense sites, just leave as is and concentrate on numbers

I agree with Jay. Check out my site by clicking on the signature below. It is the ugliest site you ever saw, because it took me less than 10 minutes to create and post. But, it gets clicks because of all the content. If you want a better header though, go to xHeader dot com. You can put one together in no time. Good Luck, Mark |

Great minds... So, to those still working on an Adsense layout - I would give this one a thumbs up. I'm interested in trying images sort of tied visually to adsense units. Supposedly it really increases click through rates - Not sure if that is 100% ethical though. Honestly Adsense is just a toy for me anyway, so far. I make 99% of my online income from affiliate sales. | |
