Just looking at some of my domains today in Alexa to see how their numbers compared to Google Analytics and "other" sources: The site I'm looking at has been online almost 10 years and ranks on the top 10 for several keyword phrases in it's niche. For Example... Backlinks Showing Alexa: 28 Source A: 144 Source B: 515 You just can't trust the data that is being assimilated from 3rd party websites. And it's nearly impossible to get a real accurate view of your backlinks from any of them. |

Well I would edit my title to say Alexa.com because Alexa is not junk, she is a very nice girl and she may get offended by your title ... As for Alexa.com, why are you wasting your time Alexa and Google both are wrong... James |

Only thing I trust are the stats provided by the stats programs from my hosting company in regards to # of visitors, etc.

What I found is a lot of sites that give such stats are pretty much junk. As for Alexa, she's pretty much pretty! Thanks, Adam |

I've been wondering about this because I've been doing backlinking for a couple of months now and just a couple of days ago when I was checking how many links I have out there through a few different sites, all I'm getting is that I have like under 10 links out there. ??? I don't understand that at all. |

This is because no program or system can pickup all links that you have out there... I have sites that have 1,000's of backlinks but if you use any of those backlinks programs it will show maybe 300 or so. The only one that knows how many backlinks you really have, is you... James | |
