I was just wondering how many people have been using InText ads on their website/blog. I honestly didn't know about them until recently and i'm becoming more and more interested. If you don't know, they are ads that popup only after a user hovers over a double-underlined word. Usually the ad will be relevant to the keywords (sometimes--as with KONTERA--they are NOT RELEVANT) I was using kontera before, and I found that they were highlighting strange words that didn't have ANYTHING to do with my content. I wasn't getting conversions and I was getting angry. So, I switched to Admanage. They, apparently, have just gotten a new scanning system that "revolutionizes" targeting ads. I've been pretty happy so far, but only time will tell. There have been a lot of complaints about in text ads themselves however. I'm hoping I don't lose website traffic. I like it better than pop-ups or banner ads though. |

I'm about to sign an IO with Kontera...hmmm. Now you have me thinking. Was your conversion significantly lower with Kontera than say other intext advertising mediums?

I tried intext ads on many blogs but didn't get good result like 300x250 or leaderboard banners.

Suraj, did you use Kontera or one of the other large intext ad platforms?
