Clickbank and missing sales

Sorry to beat a dead horse but I have a question that has been bothering me for awhile.

Can anyone explain in the new clickbank system when you look at the reporting tab, how one might have a order form submission but yet no sale. I have noticed this a few times, where certain products I sell will say 1 order form submission, yet no $$$ is shown in the column.

Could this be because of an instant return? Or maybe a credit card denial? The weird thing is that no transaction shows up whatsoever so it makes me think its not the return idea, but maybe the bad card.

Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

Anyone else have any insight into what may cause this?

Yes, a CC denied will still show an order form submission. I think that people also might sometimes click on the submit button just to see if they can get the product for free.

I have noticed a lot more order form submits just lately over the past week than usual but I'm not about to scream "fraud"...could just be a fluke at the moment.

I'm not really jazzed about the fact that they took down the old analytics since things always seem to get hinky for me any time a change has been made...but it is what it is.

A bit off topic but still worth mentioning: I did notice something back about three or four weeks ago when so many people were flipping out about CB. I had been cloaking my links by using frames basically by using software that created a "cloaked link". I went back and did 301 redirects and sales perked back up again. Sometimes it's not CB and I don't think that any system is completely failproof and I don't know if what I did was what resolved the issue for me but I know that CB does state that you shouldn't be using frames so...

Yes, I read on another forum that Clickbank specifically states that hops trough frames, cloaked links and images will be counted as 'invalid' hops and possibly not be credited for sales!

What would this mean exactly? Will php redirects count?
