I am still at the having to work a job part of life while learning the IM stuff but even explaining to people what I do in my spare time is tough...and that's my time...you know when your gaming or watching TV...pleas explain how that is more productive...fortunately I have a wife that completely understand and pushes me to work more on my IM...she knows it will make me happy to leave the rat race behind and frankly, hers is the only one whose opinion matters to me.

I tend to get involved in pretty big projects that take a pretty long time before seeing any fruition. This usually has a tendency to stress any "relationships" I happen to be in; its inevitable, really. Especially if your significant other leaves the house everyday to go to work. No matter how much they love you; human nature kicks in and the jealousy factor comes out. To a certain extent, you gotta forgive this; as their reality is a whole lot bigger to them than your own. I think it was Mike Filsaime that said, "No one sees your dreams as vividly as you do.", (or something like that). Well, when 'he' said it, it was the first time I had heard it that succinctly. Anyway, what I've done is use money I've made online to treat those important to me to a dinner or something else; while making sure they know the money being used was made from me "playing on the computer". I think just showing them a check is kinna like a smack in the face and negativity can't be defeated by more negativity; just my thought. I also use the 'ridicule' as fuel to my strong belief that failure is NOT an option. Stay strong! |

True, kids do change things. I sincerely hope she sticks with you and does not go looking around behind your back.

I just ignore people like that, they are a waste of time and energy just continue to do what your doing and make your money.

Not so easy to ignore when you have to constantly hear them. I usually will just go to the library if it gets that bad.
