Oprah makes approx $400,000 by lunch, and
by the time she goes to bed it's close to $800,000. Every day of the week!

I bring this up, because she announced today, that her show will go off the air at the end of next season.

Looking at her business model, and the way she has branched out with her magazine, going over to discovery, her book club, etc.... you can really gather a lot of good information to use on a smaller scale for your own business.

Her Show = Your website

You grow your website and add things like Oprah's Book Club (affiliate products on your site and/or a newsletter), and then you can branch out with Oprah's magazine (your own product), etc... Of course this is a very simplified version of how it works, but you get the idea.

Yes, I admit, I recently watched Oprah

, but Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield were on her show..so that makes it okay, right.

Oprah is very special

I recall when there were talk host show wars. Each one trying to outdo the other slinging mud, making fun of people, showing lots of dirty laundry.

NOT OPRAH Despite her ratings going down she continued to try to bring a POSITIVE impact to peoples lives and not get dragged down in negativity. And she triumphed.

She is great!

she could just STOP everything that is income producing. The amount of invested capital she has will continue to produce income for years without touching the principal.

I mean I don't watch her show (although I admit that I did watch some of her interview with Sarah Palin a few days ago) but nonetheless I admire her. She's a professional who has risen from a simple reporter to becoming one of the most respected and influential people in the broadcasting industry. Her branding power is unbelievable, and she has also used her wealth and fame for several charitable causes.

$800,000 a day is an absolutely mind boggling amount of money
for one person to be making.

I have to say I don't envy the people that make that much money
because it must be a bit soul destroying the amount you'll have to pay
on income tax plus the stress of maintaining all that wealth.

I have watched Oprah's show once or twice and I have to say I admire her for the simple fact that she is a self-made millionaire. She's put in her time and she's reaped the rewards. But she is not perfect...No one is!

Oprah is a Pioneer. The one thing I admire most
about her is her humbleness. She admits to being
a student in the self development and spiritual growth
and you see it when she interviews people like Wayne Dyer,
Eckhart Tolle, Michael Beckwith, etc...

She has billions, but she is still a student.

Never watched her show. I've known a person or two over time who's dealt with her in real life (not me) and the reports weren't flattering.

She can do whatever she wants, as far as I'm concerned. I will pay whatever it is she does very little mind...
