SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC BUT ...... I NEED EBAY "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" HELP

Hey Everyone,

My wife sells on eBay in her spare time and I know there are a few of you on here that sell sites and eBooks through eBay and may be able to help me.

Does anyone know an effective way to contact eBay support? Email and the "Live Help" just do not work, they just spit out canned responses. My wife was flagged for selling fake branded items (purse dust covers from Coach) she knows her stuff and they are not fake! Now she is concerned about putting up anymore items for auction.

If anyone knows an effective way to contact eBay I would appreciate it.

Thanks for your help,
Tommy Smith

    Hey Tommy,

I know they answer question on the forums. You might try there if you can't get an answer from their support desk.

Powersellers have a phone number to contact eBay. If you know a powerseller see if you can get the phone number off them.

Otherwise - just send an email & wait - she musn't relist til she hears from them, regardless of whether shes doing the right thing or not - it wont matter to eBay.

      Hope this helps

Ebay no longer cares about your problems. They are suspending a lot of excellent sellers for bogus reasons. There is no customer support. Canned answers that do not even deal with your question or problem are the norm.

I sell on ebay for a living and I am looking for a way out. Maybe I can make a go of IM this time around.

          Hi Bob,

Long time no see dude. How's everything going?

Yeah, eBay is really shoting themselves in the foot lately. Major dumb moves on their part.

I think when everything is said and done in the end, they're going to figure out that they messed up when they did away with the smaller sellers. They are what made eBay what it is, so they had to contribute in some way.

It's been over a year since I had any dealings with ebay, but I did find a couple of phone numbers that I used to use. They are probably still good.

            888-749-3229
            800-322-9266
            800-332-3229

When you get through, click on #3 to get to the operator, if a real person doesn't answer.

I think one of the numbers is for Safe Harbor, a committee of over 1500 ebay members who will speak of your behalf.

You'll just have to call around and ask. Like I said, it's been over a year since I had any contact with ebay.

The people at Paypal are much more helpful. Their number is 888-221-1161.

Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

I posted in another thread about ebay I have major, major problems recently with them. I got notified I owed £98 in fees. I worked it out at £7.50. I paid this then queried the rest. I didn't owe it...I did but they couldn't tell me what for. I called the support number as I have a powersellers account but it didn't relate to that account so ebay refused to give phone support. I ended up in court winning my case. The judge was somewhat scathing about Ebay's customer 'support' or lack of it.
