Question about posting

Yes, I have read the rules.. but I am still confused.
I would like to have a signature with a link to online real estate investing training.. but I am afraid to put it in my signature because I purchased a domain name and pointed it towards the web page..
I am afraid it would be considered an affiliate offering..

I dont wanna do anything that will get me booted off here... any suggestions from experienced warriors would be appreciated.

    Hi Lisa

First let me welcome you on this great forum where you will learn too much and find great people to network with

from my understanding i can say that this rule apply to your situation
Edit: Due to certain people trying to find a loophole I needed to add yet another edit. Please do not try to get around these rules by getting your own domain name and simply redirecting it to an affiliate program. You Will Be Removed From Here When Caught.
so the sig file should be your own website that you have full control of but you can start a wordpress blog on the domain that you are purchasing and write some useful topics and include the realestate website links inside the posts like that its win win situation

    hope this helps

        Two other comments:-

        (i) People don't get banned for this; they get their sig-file removed, and the words "please read the sig-file rules" substituted there ...

(ii) You can always open a help-desk ticket and ask for advice that way. In fact, you should. Better to ask the help-desk than the members, who might inadvertently misinform you.

        Good luck!
ah hah.. kinda what I was thinking... thank you so much...

THANK YOU THANK YOU for the kind welcome, and yeah, sounds like I would have been in violation.. wish there was some kind of training course so we do not do the wrong things and get the boot...
I love this forum, sometimes feel like I am intimidated by it though, sometimes I feel it is a little hard to maneuver...
GREATEST FOLKS on earth though right on this forum!
Hope to be around for a long time with y'all

I usually get infractions for similar reasons. But is because I`m too lazy to read the forum`s rules. This actually happened in the past a few times.

To be safe and not anger the Warrior dudes I would only link to your domain name if it is your site, your WSOs, your blog, etc. No affiliate offers. Redirects to other domains you own should be fine as long as it is not going to an affiliate offer. Best to contact admin if your really really not sure.
