I'm getting ready to utilize opt-in landing pages. What would be the most effective way of promoting my product? Should I base my landing page content on the products sales page? Eg., headline, bullet points, features, etc. and then redirect them to the main sales page? I also plan on sending a 3-5 part autoresponder series that further promotes the product starting the day after they opt-in. Or should I just give away a free report and promote my product through the autoresponder emails? Either way the email series is going to be used. I just want to know what is more effective, the sales page approach or the free report? Thanks for you input |

I've tested this very thing on dozens of sites and I always get a better conversion if I offer a free report. Regarding your follows I advice you to send the first email instantly. If you're offering a free report they'll want it fast. And always ask for the sale in every email you send your subscribers. I see a lot of marketers not doing this and they wonder why they have a low conversion rate. Andy. |
