A plugin that plays music on a site

Hi Troops

You see this site, Devin Townsend on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads it has a music player on there, is there one I can get either for free or cheaply which would work on a site of my own, and as it happens, it's a wordpress Blog, so not sure if that makes any difference? I'm assuming it's something where you upload some tracks to a folder from which it plays the music. Any ideas?

You could just google 'web mp3 player' and you should find some free and some cheap commercial players.

It should not make any difference if you use them on a static site or blog - as long as you understand how to integrate the player.

Not sure if there are any wp specific solutions...

Do a search in Google for:
Audio Player Wordpress plugin

I've used the plugin made by 1 Pixel Out. It's pretty simple. But it works nicely.

It is meant for mp3 files.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I saw that 1pixel one when I did a search, but was hoping for one that had a playlist, and eqs etc. but cool, I'll do a bit more hunting around.

Try Playlist | Search music, find music, listen to music, & share music online

Its free and has all the feature you want.

Oh Cheers Dave, that's great, although I think that is more designed to create a playlist for music already on the net? The one I need is to upload somebody's own music, so not sure if that would work? Well, I'll look more into in case I've misunderstood it.

I'm from the UK myself, Brighton.... my family moved to Vancouver Canada when I was 5.

Just getting started.... The Ramones, The Who, Stones.... various stuff.

Great site for finding almost any music and very easy to embed on your site/blog/facebook etc.

Oh I see you edited your post.

Anyone can upload an mp3 link to playlist.com, but yes the song has to already be on the net somewhere.

You have friends making their own music and want a music player they can embed on a web page?
