|  Help me think of a domain name for personal blog
Hey, I checked godaddy few days ago and found that rickchong.com, a domain with my name (Rick Chong) was available. Today, when I want to register that domain, it appears that someone has registered it 2 days ago. I wonder what a coincidence  Well, I'll need to think of another domain name right now. I wonder whether anyone has any good suggestions? I'm really out of idea right now Thanks in advance! Rick |

I'm convinced that somehow you can check what domains people have been looking at. I've lost 3 or 4 in the exact same way you just did. I have not checked to see the availability of these but you could try Rick-Chong.com RChong.com RickChongBlog.com RickChongSpeaks.com or variations like that, as well as checking out the .net and .org options. |

CRicky.com is good. Probably gone by now. I think GoDaddy has some automated way of swiping domains when you look but don't buy. I've not had this problem with any other registrar. |

Rchong.com and Cricky.com are both taken. I wonder whether affiliaterick.com is good.  |

Never check a domain name at Godaddy! Ever! Actually, never check a domain at any registrar, for that matter. It is quite a common practice at many registrars to monitor the domain searches and to try to profit from them. They either register it or just put it on hold. On a general note: GD is not really IM-friendly, so you should consider running away from them. |
