Default 30 day challenge for Free???

Hi guys. I am starting the 30 day challenge and I want to do it completely free. Thing is they require you to get and host a domain this year.

My goal is to not spend a dime.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks a ton in advance

My suggestion is alter your plan.

It's absolutely silly for you to worry about spending a couple dollars and it will likely hold you back. Surely you can come up with a couple bucks for a domain.

I understand trying to do it for free, but what you are essentially doing is costing yourself even more by trying to save.

Well there is no place I know of to get a "free" domain name.

Well, you'd have to veer from their program a bit, but you could have the same sort of success with a Blogger site as your core that you can with a domain and a WP installation. You won't be able to use the WP stuff they push, but marketing is marketing. Blogger will let you pitch and link to anything you want. It's possible to remove the Blogger strip from the top and if you wanted to blow just $10 or so on a domain registration at Godaddy or someplace, you could put it on the Blogger site, you could even take "blogspot" off the address line. You can even get themes for Blogger that clone WordPress themes.

Go do someone a favour of some sort for $20. Write an article, do some backlinking, draw some graphics, whatever.

Then you have $20 to spend on the 30DC.

Amen brother! Unfortunately so many people think they can just start a business with absolutely zero money and make $1 million overnight. Unfortunately that just is not going to happen.

Hopefully you will listen to Jason's advice and at least spend the money on a domain name and hosting. I would even say go ahead and splurge and grab yourself an autoresponder while you're at it.

Talk soon,

Shannon Herod

Exactly.

It's like saying;
'Despite the fact that someone has handed me a professionally developed program,
for free, out of nowhere, I'm the 1 in 76,000 who won't invest
a tiny amount in myself'.

Good Health to You,
Ed

Well, are you running an experiment to see if it can be done? From my experience, it won't get you far.

The free mindset kills internet businesses...period.

Thanks for the responses guys. I know how to get a domain and such and I even have the money for it.

I just am kinda trying to do this to see what can be done. My Paypal is jacked up at the moment. Someone apparently tried to hijack it so they shut it down. So I can't do Paypal at the moment. That's what gave me this idea.
