Best RSS Directories?

I give many thanks to all of the warriors today who helped me sort out what I'd do about getting a blog setup for my site and I'm now wondering... Where do I submit that blog feed? Should I do it every time I make a new post?

Thanks everyone!

I guess I'm wondering because I've found a few places but none of them seemed all that great, I didn't know if there was one that submitted to a bunch of different sites at once perhaps?

It sound like you're using RSS directories with the intention of getting traffic from users browsing the directory? It should be used to get backlinks.

It seems this list doesn't include the top ones.

IMHO, at a very minimum, they are:

      feedage
      feedagg
      millionrss
      badrss

Of special note, millionrss feeds are the only feeds that consistently show up as backlinks for me at places like backlinkwatch, and my badrss feeds will almost always rank well for my keywords.

RSS feeds are good for 2 things: (1) backlinks and (2) they help sites/pages get indexed by Google, Yahoo, etc. much faster. They don't help with getting traffic themselves, FYI, but I still use them extensively.

If you have a wordpress blog at say WordPress.com » Get a Free Blog Here, and you submit that RSS feed to the RSS aggregators (fyi, that's the more accepted term rather than directories), you don't need to update your RSS feed as RSS feeds are automatically updated when you post new comment.

Submit new RSS feeds for (i) new sites and (ii) articles, etc. on 3rd party sites.
