Whats the reason everyone wants to get PLR articles

As most of you know, i am only a beginner when it comes to the whole internet marketing idea on this level. i am confused about PLR articles. why do people pay for plr article or even for free ? i know you can resell it to others. but what about when people offer just a couple of PLR articles? i mean your not gonna give 2 or 3 article away, and certaunly you cant use it as content for your site, since its not unique. so whats the point but wanting to just read them?

If you get some good PLR articles, you will find it so much easier to rewrite them and produce a unique article that you can put on your site and use for the article directories.

The research is, in the good PLR, already done for you, saving huge amounts of time.

thanks for the reply karen, i now that you can edit it, but if your going to rewrite it, can't you just find another article on the subject and use it as refrence to write one on your own? plus the same plr article you are going to rewrite is going to be rewrited by hundereds of others, and while eveyone has a unique view and word they chose to rewrite, having that many people use the sam earticle to rewrite it, will make it more liklly to not be a unique article as most of the main points of the article will remain the same.

The articles on your site don't have to be unique. Google just doesn't like you to use the same content twice on your own site.

I bought a PLR pack 2 years ago in the Christmas niche, didn't change the articles and haven't touched the site since. As we get closer to Christmas, I'm earning up to $2.50 a day in Adsense.

Not a lot, but a good return for $20 and three hours work 2 years ago.

Yes you can as long as you fully rewrite the content in your own words, although personally I like to get my research from a number of sources.

This is also true but I think a great skill to learn is rewriting content and making it more engaging and interesting. There's a ton of articles on ezine articles and other directories that explain killer information but are written in an uninteresting and unengaging style.

I've tended to target these kind of articles for a lot of my initial research.

A tip I've found useful for writing unique PLR articles is to combine two articles into one and rewrite it all in my own words. That way you are creating genuine articles that are uniquely written in your own style.

For example let's say you have a list of 10 PLR articles for Early Learning Centre Toys. Two article titles may be:

1). The History of Early Learning Centre Toys.
2). Seven Quick Tips when Purchasing Early Learning Centre Toys.

The first half of the new article could be extracted from Article No.1 and then maybe pick three tips from Article No.2 that will help customers choose the right toy.

The above example is just off the top of my head but I hope you can see the potential here for reworking and improving PLR articles.

      Garry.

Don't get caught up in the PLR game. All the information is available to you on any subject right here on the net. You can research on ezine articles, go articles, squidoo...The list goes on. IMO there is never a point in buying these packs. There is so much money to be made on the net without ever spending a dime.

          Satrap,

Gary has given you a really great tip about using PLR articles and how to rewrite them to make them unique content. Don't be afraid to use 4 or 5 articles on the same topic and write 1 great article. If your going to use that method make sure you use a "eye catching" title that includes the major keyword you are targeting.

Once you get into the habit of writing this way you will find yourself creating unique content on the topic without a 2nd thought. Which leads to you being able to use the 1 great article to produce as many other unique articles for your site/blog or even the article directories.

Another reason for using PLR is to create your own product. Yes, you heard that right your own product. You can take a series of well written articles, change them about a little bit and have you a 5000 word short report. You can sell the report, give it away to your list, use it as a bonus or even better still give it as a freebie for folks to sign up to your list.

As Martin mentioned you can use it on your site/blog to help build an authority site on the prevailing topic. When you do this you can use links on each separate page to link to the other pages. Which will help the Search Engines index every page on your site. And it also helps drives your traffic to other pages within your site. Increases your chances for building trust and getting them to click on your ad or maybe even buy whatever your marketing.

Frankly the list goes on and on for how you can use PLR. However, make sure you are using good PLR, not gibberish. You must remember your reputation will be at stake.

For me PLR is a great way to get an IM business off the ground with minimal cost or in some cases with out spending any money. But freebie stuff can eat your lunch if you're not careful.

Try using it, if it works great! If it doesn't go another route. The main thing is for you to take action now.

Here's to your financial and personal success.

Many people do what Martin is suggesting. Even if you don't change the articles, be sure to add your keywords to the titles and tuck them into the articles as well.

You could even do this and get lots of content on your site and then flip it.
