Fighting Spam the right way - Is this cool or what?

Guys,

Everynow and then we get these weird SPAM messages in one of our business accounts.

We know these messages come from ONE company that sells email addresses and allow clients to pay to send these messages. It's something like 250€ for a mass mailing. Whatever.

What I know is from now till Christmas A LOT of business owners will pay to send us SPAM. And they have cash in hand...

So, Today I decided to fight these morons the right way:

Wrote a sales letter talking about their SPAM problem (people hate it, no delivery etc etc), how qualified LEADS is the way to go, HOW I can get them real qualified leads, show them testimonials and finally, scarcity all the way with Christmas around the corner - Hurry UP!!!!!

Now let's wait and see if any of these companies get back to us... lol

I don't care if we don't get any sales with this. Fine. We're booked till January 2010. But please!!!! Stop spamming us like it's 1994. It's out of fashion, ok? And for less money you can get solid leads to your business.

Neat idea, but how are you getting the spammers to view your sales letter?

Generally, they are only in "broadcast" mode, never "receive" mode (except for orders!)

Truth is one of them just got back to us a couple minutes ago!!!

And it's not a "spammer" as we know them... these are companies that pay to send a broadcast BUT the from/return email address is their own business email...

The one who got back to us said and I quote:

We're happy this way, it works pretty good. No need to do something else.

This is a company that sells Pools!!!!

      lol of the week!

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.
