What Are Your Thoughts On Re-using An Article For Hubpages, Squidoo Etc

Hey,

Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on re-using articles.

What I mean is if I write an article and post it on ezine articles what are your thoughts on me using that same article to create squidoo and hubpages etc or would you recommend creating new articles for each web 2.0 property?

    Yes.

Certainly, it is a fantastic idea to re-purpose your own content onto squidoo, HubPages etc

Most importantly, though, make sure you publish the content/article on your own website first

Thanks for the input, I had been doing this already anyway it was just that I remember reading somewhere that someone said that it was a bad idea that was all but I guess it saves creating lots of articles for each property.

I'll offer a minority view. Assuming you want the search engines to view each article as unique, I would recommend thoroughly spinning the article for publishing on Hubpages, Squidoo, etc. It's an effective compromise between rewriting for each platform and simply duplicating content.

Unique content is always best but it would be a waste if you didnt maximize your article distribution by including web 2sites.

I would also,if you can, find niche web 2 sites and post your articles.

You can get some really good traffic both directly from the web 2 networks as well as great target juice for big G.

I usually put an article on my own site first, then submit it to EzineArticles, then to several other article directories, and then put it on Squidoo. It's essentially the same article each time, but I may break it into sections for a Squidoo page. Or, more often, I'll take several of my own articles from my website and make each article a separate section on a Squidoo page. It's never caused me any problems, and it saves a TON of time!

Repurpose of content is normal and many do it, nothing wrong with this at all. It is not just limited to articles as many news sites and magazines also repurpose their content in many different ways.

This is why many also spin their articles as they can repurpose the use of them into many different forms as such:

    squidoo
    hubpages
    short reports
    blog post
mini post on web 2.0 networks
    and etc ...

This is called working smart and it is something that you should be doing..

Always repurpose your articles. Make sure to rewrite them (at least 30%) whenever you add them on a new property.

And don't forget: Quality always pays - despite some others say. Overtime, you will do a killing when you have high quality content all over the net.

IMPORTANT: squidoo is going to put any lense with more than 9 self service links on hold, so you don't want to have more than 9 links pointing to the same domain.

As for hubpages, it's only 2 links and they don't accept duplicate content, so you need a unique article for them.

    Remember: quality always pays.

    All the best,
    Franck
