It would be great to hear from anyone who is successfully promoting clickbank products. Many thanks :p

The most important factor is to select a product that you think you can convince people to buy. Yeah.. it's that simple.

i go for gravity score over 30., shows it is selling, but not too competetive to have a chance. Depends on the niche though. I have some that look good with low gravity, but they are not competetive niches, then I look at the product and sales page, if it looks good, then give it a try,

    Personally...

I use 1 rule and one rule only for clickbank product selection.

    Here it is:

    Rule Number 1:

The product must cater to the needs of your niche market!

    Simple, eh?

This is the way I do it, and it seems to work very well for me.

All other contributing facts, Sales page, customer service, and all the other rah, rah can be adjusted to suit my needs and I can overcome any other issues..

But, if the product doesn't fill the needs of your niche, then you are on an uphill struggle to turn profits...

    Peace

I go for medium gravity, that being said there is also good stuff with HIGH gravity, but also ***p with high gravity.

Deciding for me is whether a niche/product also yields good keywords. I can get a well selling product in the forex/make money niche - but have a hard time getting good keywords for it. Other products can be almost as high in gravity but yield way better keywords, eg. health niche.

Some products are just very obvious scams or have very bad rep, those i avoid.

Another rule....what works for Joe will also work for Jack, usually. On webmaster forums you can often see what niches and products work for people.

And: More and more 2.0 sites (ezine, squidoo etc..) start to ban certain niches, like "get your ex back" and stuff like that...so i would think twice choosing exactly those products.

You want to first find out what niche market would be profitable. To get an idea, you can try Google Insights. Type in a keyword phrase of a market that that might interest you. e.g. muscle cars

You'll be able to see if the trend is going up or going down for that particular niche market and how it is expected to perform within the next year. You can also see which countries tend to type in that particular keyword.

Once you've chosen a profitable niche market, you can check to see if Clickbank has such a category. If it doesn't you may want to try Linkshare, Shareasale, Pepperjam, eBay or Amazon.

Look for other related keywords that have a high search volume. You can target these related keywords for linking purposes when you start trying to drive traffic.
