Commission Junction - probably a dumb question

I'm wanting to use some product links from Commission Junction for the first time...have chose a couple of advertisers and am approved.

But when I looked at the code for the product links, I couldn't find the account ID that CJ had assigned to me. They have these other IDs apparently related to my web page, but not my CJ ID. Am I supposed to insert this myself?

It's not at all like Clickbank where it's easy to see your affiliate ID.

  • All you need to do is cut and paste either the javascript or the html code they provide. Once approved for a promotion the necessary links are automatically coded.

Log on to your account, select "get links by relationship", then "view links", then the type of link, then get HTML or JAVASCRIPT.

Note you'll see PID and AID these will correspond to your account (publisher) and the advertisers code for the promotion.

PID Displays the Commission Junction Publisher Web site ID that the system appends to the tracking code.

Choose a text or banner ad and 'get html' then copy the link out of the html code.
The link starts with http:// and contains your ID.
