Anyone else had this twitter problem?

This is a strange one and has been bugging me for some time now!
Everytime I try to follow someone new on twitter I get this message pop up stating "You are unable to follow anymore people at this time!"

I do not know what it could be! My ratio to followers and following are fine and as far as I know i haven't done anything I shouldn't on twitter!

The more help the better!

You've hit a limit. You can follow 10% more people than follow you.

You might want to unfollow those that aren't following you back. Unfollow obvious spammers too. Or, just wait until you have more followers.

Have you followed 2000 people? That's usually the limit until 2000 or more people follow you in return.

Delete people who haven't followed you back in the past week or so. You wont be able to send direct messages to them anyway. This will give you a chance for you to start building followers.

After your followers pass 2000, you're usually in the clear to go on as high as you want.

There is no need for him to submit a support ticket. They are not going to change their limits just for him.

Before he can follow more people, he either needs to unfollow some people that are not following him back or wait until more people are following him.

I am not suggesting they would change their limits for him.
The limits are there for a good reason.

I said "If you have not been following aggressively..."
In other words, there can be a bug.
        I've seen it.

There's no bug. He currently has 1860 followers and is following 2050 people. 1860 plus 10% is 2046. So, he's past his limit. I'd guess maybe he had four more followers that he's since lost, which would have gotten him to 2050. Right now, he won't be able to follow more people until he reaches 1865 or more followers, or unfollows some that are not following him back.

yeah sounds like aggrresive following to me, same thing happen to me like 6 months ago. My limits were fine but there is also a limit on how many people you can follow in a day. I have heard numbers anywhere between 300-500 people in a day, so i try to stick to under 300 when i am following alot.

No problem. I've seen this same question come up dozens of times on Twitter. I usually only have 140 characters to explain it though.
