 If you had just $500 to begin making money using the internet (or offline), how would you spend it? Then, how would you re-invest the profits?

From what I understand, there are so many ways to make money online.

If you are a beginner, you can start by writing articles for your blog. All you need to do is to pick a niche, do some research, write articles and post it to your blog. Then add Adsense ads or affiliate links related to your niche. You will also need to submit articles to Ezine and have a link pointing back to your blog.

All you need to pay for is a domain name (less than $10/year) and hosting ($10 - 20/month)

You can also use free blog service (blogger.com) so that you can save those money also.

Doing it continuously and persistently an you will success.

    Hope it helps.

Thank you for your suggestions alucard001. I don't have a blog as of yet, but I was considering buying say 60-80 keyword optimized articles (human written). Then, submitting them to multiple article directories with (related subject) affiliate links in the resource box. Any suggestions here? Thanx alot!

If you are planning on going the route of spending your money on articles,
rather then being a product owner as I outlined, then buy a wso that
explains article marketing. There are tons of great wso's on article marketing.
Get one and it will give you a great idea of what you need to do. Jeremy
Kelsall has a great one for example, "evil article marketing" I believe it is
called. I purchased it and it's a great read for article marketing.

Thanks Benjamin, I'll check out the Evil Article Marketing. Article marketing interests me a lot as I have written a number of articles, and even got one or two on page one of the big G. But I never tried to monetize them, so that's what I need to work on. I appreciate everyone's advice, thanx.

I would spend it on buying domains, hosting, content, and backlinks for a few AdSense sites. Get those making you ~$20 to $50 a day and then start diversifying into affiliates or CPA or upscaling your AdSense sites.

The reason I say start with AdSense is because it is very simple to get running if you use some common sense. With a good theme you will get a CTR of 5%+ so all you need is traffic and a high paying keyword. Keyword research is free. There are many threads around here about it. While your AdSense sites are making money you can spend time to learn about other ways to make some cash.

Ok are you ready for this? Here's your blueprint to making money online
      when starting out with $500.

Product Creation: Pick a niche. Niche research made easy. Go to
dummies.com and search through their different sections until you find a
niche that interests you or you think would be profitable. Do some keyword
searching on google and see if you have much competition for other people
selling products in this niche. Also check to see how many adwords campaigns
are running on each keyword, this will tell you how profitable the keyword is.
Check google adwords keyword tool and see what kind of search traffic the
      niche gets.

Once you got your niche, figure out the problem you want to solve in that
niche and then hire someone here to write the ebook.

Here's an example. Ok So that's -62.50 + the domain so -72.00 on your budget
and you now have a 25 page ebook and a domain for your niche.

      Mini-Site Creation

Now you need to build your site where you are going to sell your product.
Pick your top keyword, then get a keyword rich domain name. If the .com
is not available, then check if that .com is in use. If it is not in use then
pick up one of the other tld's. If they are gone, try adding a hyphen in the
middle like keyword-keyword.com. If that's gone try keyword-keyword-1.com,
doesn't look pretty but it has your keywords.

Now get a warrior to create your mini-site. Here's an example Ok now you
have minisite graphics ready to go -$97.00 from your budget

      Copywriting Copy

Time to get some high converting salespage copy. There are warriors that
will do this for you too. Here's an example great! Now you have a good
salespage and might need to just fill in a few cracks. -$99 from your budget.

      Aweber email

You need to be building a list. Singup for an aweber account at aweber.com.
      -19.99 from your budget.

      Hosting

I recommend Hostgator. -$10 from your budget.

      Site promotion IE Traffic

Alright we have everything setup, now we just need traffic... We still have
$202 in our budget for traffic. Great!

Google Adwords: since you signed up with Hostgator, you should see an
icon in your hosting panel onced logged in that shows $50 dollars free
adwords credit. Sign up for an account, do a bit of research, check out
the comps ad copy, setup a campaign. Set your limit to stop at the end
of the $50, if your campaign was successful then keep dropping dough in
there and ramp it up. If your campaigns wern't successful then walk away.
Since you're new to IM, I wouldn't attempt adwords with your own money.
      -$0.00 from budget.

Article Marketing: One of the most reliable methods for converting traffic
and great roi. Ok here's the method. Check out this site EZABullDozer: Strip Mine
RED-HOT Niches from Ezinearticles! enter in your keyword, 100 views and november
09 as the date. This will get you hot articles in your niche that are getting views
soon after being published, so you know it's easy to replicate their success. Now
use a warrior member to rewrite these articles for you and have him target the
keywords these articles are ranking for. (watch this vid for more info on this
Created by Camtasia Studio 5). Here is an example of a provider. Make the
articles 300 words. You want the articles short, and you want them to mainly
focus on the problem and then lead them to your site for the answer. At 10
rewritten articles, that's -$30.00 from budget.

Video Marketing: Go through the video marketing wso's and pick one that
is geared towards teaching you how to get traffic to your niche site. Buy
it and do exactly what it says. Here's an example -$17.00 from your budget.

Forum Marketing: Search for forums in your niche. Once you find some,
instead of spending time to try and build up rapport and post count on the
forum, buy it from someone else. What do I mean? Well go to the members
list, most forums have a members list open to everyone, if not search manually.
Now in the members list, have it rank the members by reputation
or post count. Contact about 25 of these top people on the forum and
ask them if they would be willing to market your ebook in their signature
in return for you either paying them or giving them a free copy of your
ebook. This is a great method and hopefully you will get the sig promotion
for free by giving away a free copy of your ebook. But lets guess -$50 for
this method. This will most likely be setup as a recurring monthly payment.

Blog: Add a blog to your site. Get yourself a warrior superblog Have
Warriortx set it up so it sends traffic to your salespage for your product
and builds your list. -$99 from budget.

      Ok quick recap.

Ability to work anywhere in the world from a laptop and a wifi connection...
      Priceless!

That adds up to $493.95. Which leaves just enough for you to buy me
      a beer... I deserve it ;-).

*Side note: There are many other services to choose from on wf I just
chose some to give you a direction and for sake of showing it working into
      your budget.

There it is. Your entry into making money in IM and you barely even have
      to do any work.

Warriors are practically begging you to let them start your business for you! I know it's crazy!

Let me know how it goes.

      Regards,
      Ben

P.S. You should also add your site to clickbank.
P.P.S. Create and upsell and some other backend offers to make more from each purchase and
the list you will be building. Also, find complimentary affiliates to promote.

I'm seeing a lot of pros & cons, but it kinda looks like if you follow the system, and get enough sites out there - it just might make you some good coin. I wish you success there.

The main thing is to make sure you answer when they call. Most people are
denied because they are unable to reach you on the phone.

Then when they ask how you are planning to market the cpa's just say
you are into article marketing. Say you write lots of articles a day and submit
them all over promoting CPA offers. This will get you through your hang up
of not having a good site to show off.

To start I'd purchase the domain names I wanted, after that you have to take into account hosting fees. Lastly, I'd spend the rest of it on a few programs to make my life easier.

Article Bot, an article spinner etc could work as well as SEO Nuke or even an outsourcer of some type. You truly have a ton of choices!

Physical Products, I would find a really good source of one or two really good products, that through my own research, I would find to be as profitable as possible with little to no competition from other sellers. With $500, you could bring in another $500 in profit within a month, maybe less, or maybe longer.

My personal feelings is that the effort I spend on online marketing is more profitable selling physical products rather than digital products or affiliate products. However, IM'ing is less costly when it comes to investing financially (however more costly in Time, sometimes) and if done right, can run on auto-pilot to become a nice little income addition each month. I also base this on selling physical products online can be Fast. Some days, I'm shipping out 60 items that I just sold on eBay while I was sleeping, and that can start off as soon as your listing becomes available to users on eBay, with IM'ing, it can sometimes takes days, weeks, or months to start to get things rolling.

If I had $500 to reinvest, it would be on having content written that I can use to create more pages on my sites, build more backlinks, and have a nice report written that I can use to generate more opt ins.

Investing in content is like investing in Gold, it will always be worth something.

Well the first thing I would do is put $300 back into your bank; you aren't going to need it.

All you need is $200 and that includes creating an ebook, some articles and a sales page (or having them created for you). After that, post it on WSO, set up the technical details then sit back and watch the fun.

Cheap, easy, effective and it can be repeated over and over again. In two weeks you will be amazed at the success.

    Does that answer your question

This question is hard to answer, because it depends on what business model you are following.

Having said that, since I'm interested in Adsense and niche sites I would:

      1) Invest into XsitePro (my personal choice).
      2) Invest into Micro Niche Finder (again, my preference).
      3) Hosting (reseller account).
      4) The rest would go into domain names.

If you want quality and long ebook with very attractive sales page then $400-$450 for one ebook is required.

You can select unique or less-competitive niche on Clickbank.

You can use free advertising for affiliates to notice your product like posting on free joint venture sites, Affiliate marketing section of Forum Digitalpoint and submitting articles to Ezinearticles.com.

I would probably reinvest it through outsourcing. Not only that it's going to be the "Hot" deal in the market today, it's just that as you have already spent a lot of time spreading the good news, helping people in their making money or blogging inquiries, offering them products, etc, etc this time, it's better to enjoy more spare time focusing on overseeing the results and allowing your virtual staff to do such things on autopilot. That way, you can feel how the business is progressing with much ease and comfort.

    Hey xtrink,

Read carefully and try to understand what Benjamin Eddy, said on his first post on your topic. He gave you a great info. I know, because i did the same thing last year. I invested around 400$ in making my first website.
-$50 for the domain and hosting
    -$250 for the graphics
    -$100 on other expenses.

I worked 3 months to put the site up and running. For 3 months i didn't made any money. On 19th of June i made it live and after 6 months, the site generated me over $2000 and on 6th of December i sold it with over $5300. So from an investment of only $300-$400 i made over $7000.

Try to make your own products and build your list. This are your assets. This is how i made my money.

    Hope this helps.

Can you speak and write English well? If so, your way will be less flaw. $500 is more than enough.

If I were you, I would look for a guide from reputable warrior. Those who have after sales support. These warriors know best how to invest.

Valueable WSO: around $17 - $37 (one time fee, there other recurring)
    Hosting: less than $10
    Domain: less that $10
Article writing (optional): $60-70 per 10 articles
    etc

Total start up cost, is around $100. Would be less if you are an English native.

Within 30-90 days you can have 3-4 figure income. Just stay focus.

    Good Luck,

You should go with creating your own product $500 is a bit tight if you want a book sales letter and graphics but doable. I would pay someone to write you a short ebook on a hot niche subject sell it as a wso with plr this should double your money at least.

Then have a $1000 to invest in creating a longer book which you can try in clickbank.

I think I might just do this myself.
