What Kind Of Avg. Conversions You Expect from the Email List?

I had started email marketing last month, after seeing some good results I am facing problem with conversion.

One of my list converts around 5% and another converts around 1%. Can you guys please tell me what is the average conversion should I expect? OR what conversion you get?

P.S. I am not into MMO niche.

I don't do alot of email marketing but from what I've heard between 1 and 5% is about the average. I don't know how big your lists are but if you had 1000 people and got 5% conversions thats 50 sales. I know quite a few people who would love those #'s! I would have to say that your getting pretty good numbers, depending of course on your niche and how targeted your list is. Hope that helps!

bfairo, thank for your comment. 1000 subscribers is really good sample size.
Here at WF lot of people are involved in email marketing still there are very few which are ready to express their viewS on this point.
