Default Publishing To Kunaki

Hi guys

I recently purchased a license to resell a DVD boxset. There are 8 DVDs, each lasting about one hour.

I've just gone to Kunaki to upload the first DVD, I went through all the steps and clicked Publish, and now Kunaki is telling me that it's going to take 19 HOURS to upload this first DVD.

Considering there are 8 DVDs, this is gonna take a hell of a lot of time on a product that I was hoping to release very soon.

Is 19 hours right? Is there a quicker way?

Thanks,
James

Hi James

Try using Vervante. You upload via FTP (so it will be faster) and additionally Vervante will pack your DVDs into containers that will hold more that one.

I don't know if they have a container that can hold eight but that do have one that can hold four.

Yea, it does take that long. Since typically your transferring a hi-res file, it can take quite a bit of time.

Well, if you know of any local business with a T3 line not being used at night, they'd have the bandwidth capacity to upload the DVDs in a hurry.

You could also see if your friends would be willing to let you borrow some of their upstream bandwidth and use their Internet connections so even though they'd still take 19 hours apiece, you'd be doing 2 or 3 at once.

Thanks guys.

I might head up to my university campus late at night when no one's online and see how fast that works.

I'm surprised it takes this long. The DVD is only about 240meg.
