Hello warriors, This is just a quick question please re the recent announcement of the changes re the FTC rules. Now - I understand the changes re endorsements and testimonials... ...but I am unsure of the change re affilaite links. I know that if you blog and you get money for something -- then you have to say so. But how about affilaite links for a product in an email? Say you mail your list a short email with details of a product you've found on Clickbank that you think is a good match for your list. Surely you don't have to say in your email that 'I am getting paid if you click on this link and buy' - do you? Or do you! Thank you guys, Jenn x |

I get emails everyday from people(affiliates) that I have subscribed to their list. so far I haven't seen any of them putting the FTC disclaimer in.

Thank you Mark. Yes I can't see us having to say in an email 'this is an affilaite link'. What happens to anchor text too. Does this mean that any link in an article that links to a sales page - the link has to say it is an affilaite link. Surely that's just impossible to monitor? |
