Feedback on My Resource Box, Please

Good Morning, All!

I am in need for an effective Resource Box blurb and have come up with this:

-------------------------------------------
David Kimball is your Financial Freedom Navigator, a personal financial coach, author, and speaker who provides simple budgeting solutions for navigating your way to financial freedom.

Check him out at (weblink). Receive free tips on budgeting, free downloads, and encouragement at (weblink).
------------------------------------

------------------------------------

The last two articles I created there only received 66 views in the past two months and two clicks. So I came up with the above new one. What do you think? What makes an effective Resource box?

You might want to read through this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ve-50-ctr.html

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Thanks, Alexa. What would make it effective? I am having a hard time coming up with "something that people will click with urgency."

You may want to drop the "your Financial Freedom Navigator," from the first sentence (redundant, given the ending). Sounds good otherwise. If I may ask, which article directory is this for?

Thanks, Avani. Ezine Articles. I also have a couple at Hub Pages. Same results.

Oh, the tip in the other thread about mentioning that you are ezine expert on something is also an useful one, and I just want to re-emphasize it. You may need more than a couple of articles to get there - more articles (worthwhile ones, of course) = more visibility, an expert rating = more credibility, traffic + interest in your work because of your credentials may well lead to a significantly higher CTR.

        Cheers,
        Avani

@David: Ah, I see - I asked mostly out of curiosity, although it's true that I'm more familiar with ezine than any of the rest.

About the urgency thing - perhaps you want to tie it up with something that your article just talked about. Find out how to resolve-some-particular-problem in the next 24 hours by clicking here or If you liked what you read, you don't want to miss digging into the-next-big-thing (could be a natural next-step from where your article left off) by clicking here, or You just read a slice of so-and-so book, you can find the rest of it here! or Click here for more tips on-a-related-problem.

And so on and so forth - if I'm not mistaken

Reading a number of resource boxes for (stealing? ) ideas - or just feeling generally enlightened may be a useful exercise.

    Good luck!

That makes sense. Do not use a cookie cutter one for all. Customize it. That sue sets off the brain juices. One of those obvious but overlooked things.
