Two domain buying qestions

I'm n00b in buying domains for micro niche competing, so I prepared some questions will help me and perhaps other warriors. So, I'm buying some domains based on keyphrase, let's take as an example keyphrase warrior forum members :
  1. What's better: warrior-forum-members.com or warriorforummembers.com
  2. If both of the top (#1) options are not available is it better to add small word (top, now, free, the...) or buy .org, .net
  3. If only way is to add a small word should should it be added at the end of of at the beginning of the domain?
Thanks for your help!

    1. No dashes - warriorforumemembers.com
    2. Add a small word if it works - as you need to differentiate yourself from the other sites
    3. Add at either the begining or the end. . the most important thing is to make your domain name memorable.

    Hope that helps!

    1. No dashes please. Priority for w/o dashes.

    2. Some people have had success with .org but I prefer to add a word and get .com.

    3. In my opinion, at the end is best.

I agree with Mark. If the word you are after isn't available just add another word to it. Try aim for "stop words". These are basically word's such as "the"...from what I gather the SE's ignore stop words so for Marks example TheMarketingConsultant.co.uk would be seen as MarketingConsultant.co.uk by some of the search engines. Alternatively some people like to add a word at the end such as MarketingConsultantHub.co.uk.

Btw Mark has anyone ever told you that you have an uncanny resemblence to the host of the Gadget Show on BBC1? A little off topic, but eveytime I would see a post I'd think..."I'm sure I've seen that guy somewhere".

easier to remember and tell other people
        about.

If you do use hyphens, no more than 3
maximum in any given domain name.

As regards a natural keyword domain, if
your first choice has gone, sure, adding
a word might have to be your next best
        choice.

For example, recently I wanted to acquire
        a domain containing Marketing Consultant
on the .co.uk domain extension, naturally
        enough MarketingConsultant(dot)co.uk
        had already been taken.

The next best choice that I found available
        was TheMarkerketingConsultant(dot)co.uk
        - Which was nice because it's actually got
a singular authoritative ring to it, now I'm
not just any old marketing consultant, I am
        THE Marketing Consultant.

There are a huge number of extra words
that you can tack onto the front or the
        back of any keyword domain.

Just make sure that when registering a
domain name that you are not first infringing
upon any company or corporation trademarks,
which can land you in a great deal of trouble.

I hope that helps you out some with regards
        to your question.

        Enjoy a super successful week!

Is that why you started in "copywriting" ??

I think you'd better ask the owner of the Warrior Forum if it's ok to use his trademark in your domain name.

    1. I've used both with success. Hyphen domains allow readers to see individual words better, but use with reservation, only when you think it will give you a competitive edge.

    2. Always go for the .com if possible. I don't use .org or .net. Although, others do successfully.

    3. I'd rather add a word, or number at the beginning (usually), but a word can be added at the end. This is personal preference. Think about what it will look like to the reader: bestwidgetsonline.com, topwidgetsonline.com, 1stwidgetsonline.com, coolwidgetsonline.com, etc.
