Ok, this post in the war room by Allen Says really got me thinking ... "I've Got To Show You This Pathetic Little Money Maker" My question is, just what is the best software for a quality review site? Wordpress has some nice templates if you just want to review a few products but... If you want a site that reviews lots of products, where customer feedback and ratings can be left HOW is it done ? Is there a suitable software package or is it best just to outsource it to an html pro? Somebody please let me know or put me in touch with those that can. Cheers, Riddley btw - how do you link to another post? would have been nice to put a proper link in |

WP, still. WP does not have "some nice templates", it actually has zillions of them. Add all the available plugins, there are literally infinite possibilities for wordpress. |

Thanks GeorgR, I'd like to it with WP because of the plugins aspect but I havn't seen a template that does what I'm looking for . Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place - been searching just this site for wordpress review templates. Guess I'm doing this wrong - so where do I look? Sorry for such a newb type question but that's what I am! |

@CDarklock I did wonder if the link would work to a war room post ! Re - the theme by David Pankhurst - I did see that, but I need something where viewers can add comments and ratings. Once approved these could be added and overall customer ratings calculated. Y'know that web 2.0 stuff , not just me giving my own take on a product but where others rate it - e.g. amazon customer reviews |

I think the beauty of that whole deal is, that there were no comments. The warm up to the affiliate links was a sentence or two, click to another page where there was maybe a paragraph (if I remember correctly) and that was it. It wasn't even really a 'review' site, just a list of problems that lead to a list of solutions. One solution per problem and the problems were all over the board. The copy was really well done, but otherwise, Allen said he didn't even drive any traffic to it, it just started ranking on it's own. You maybe just complicating this too much. (Or maybe Allen just has the Midas touch. Lol.) |

The only real way to find out what works best for me would be to split test I guess. Really appreciate everyones input - I was pulling my hair out with this one! | |

I personally use WPReviewEngine. It has everything you're speaking of and can be modified to work on any WP Template. Pretty nifty.
