Once you get that down, you can see about promoting offers with higher conversion and/or commission rates.

1) Select unique or low competitive niche from clickbank.

2) Select long tail and specific keywords of that niche.

3) Advertise on Google adwords and Yahoo search advertising.

4) Get low traffic but better conversions.

wow what a question.....seems you didn't learn too much if you've been reading up alot on the topic.

1] Find a product to promote
2] Identify the keywords needed to target the searcher (perform keyword research techniques)
3] Wrap a website around those keywords and presell your buyer
4] Conduct proper SEO on the site
5] Write articles related to your topic and place an anchor text link back to your site to build backlinks. (don't write garbage).
6] Rinse and Repeat until your site is #1 or in the top ten of Google

That's it in a nutshell...or course I left ALOT of holes in the method because it would take me too long to write it all down.

It's all free and already been discussed in the main forum....just use the search feature of this forum to zoom into the different levels.

If you don't want to write articles, then you can do it by making videos.

Your other choice is to build a one page website (this can be free or paid) and drive traffic with PPC.

You have to find places on the web where you can legally drop your affiliate link, so when someone clicks on it you make a sale.

The more places you put your link, the better your odds will be.

Oh, fyi, you need to read TOS because some sites don't allow you to just drop an affiliate link on them - such as this one.

Well,article would really matters.And also you should use other ways to promote such as forum signature,links exchanging and etc...Be more patient and do what you should do,then wait for you first order.

If you are just starting out you may want to consider trying some other things first such as product re-branding then develop your own products then build an affiliate base. Otherwise write those articles.

3) Make sharp looking review pages, learn Wordpress, chose a nice theme for your wordpress site

Articles are useful if the're done properly.I mean if they have keywords running through out them and they have a uniqe title. Simply type your title into Google and see how many come up.120,00 you'll get buried, 1000 you're in business.
Set up a few blogs(which are free) promoting your product/company/sceme. Link your articles to the bloggs and obviously your affiliate links.Google likes blogs with links and backlinks and also love video.Do these things and your blogs seo will be good.
Hit the traffic exchanges with your url's, promote,promote,promote. Learn how to make a splash page and start building a list of emails.
Use Free ads like craigslist USads there's loads of them.
Join the right affiliate scheme, one that offers good training, maybe a forum you can speak to experienced people. Good luck

research, research and more research, then start to follow some of the excellent advice above and get earning..... sitting there doing nothing for yourself wont get you started

Here is one thing I learned when I first started affiliate marketing..follow the trends and capitalize from them. About 2-3 years ago when I was learning more things about affiliate marketing, gas prices was ridiculous. On the east coast it was like $4/gallon and on the west coast it was like $6/gallon. There was an conversion kit on clickbank called water for gas or how to run your car on water. I promoted this offer during this time and made a killing! Only because I took advantage of the trend that was happening at the time.

To be successful you need to identify the trends that are happening in a niche market right before it happens. Find the right offers that provide solutions to these problems and then promote offers that have high converting sales pages or you can make them yourself.

You have to put a little thought into this stuff. It's not just about picking a niche and start submitting articles. Research and "listen" to the complaints and needs of the target market. Then promote the solution. Hope this gives you some insight.

To OP: your best bet is to try and distinguish between good article writing and bad article writing. Good video marketing and bad video marketing. Then whichever route you take, or a combination of both, you'll know how to do both well.

Affiliate marketing or making sales online simply has do to do with the credibility and trust people have in you. This will reflect in your articles, websites tc.... if people tend to see hype and dishonesty, they may not take your recommendations.

Here is what you want to do.... take a look at what you have been doing. You can ask a colleague to evaluate your articles and marketing piece. Here is the question you need to ask yourself..." Would you buy from yourself if you were NOT the one promoting these things?" In other words have you answered "what is in for me?" in your marketing?
