Affiliate Marketing & how to get there....?

I have read some much about IM recently that my head seems as though it is going to explode...

Excuse me if I'm making assumptions but I believe that one of the best ways to start in this game is via affiliate marketing.

Couple of questions - is this true and if so, what's the best way to go about it? Articles, ezines, video marketing, youtube or even a combination....

Please help.

Thanks in advance,

Fraser

    Hi Faser,
that's more or less right. Take time to choose the right program, one that offers good support and training and maybe a good forum. I'd start learning about free advertising methods like you've mentioned,Articles are useful if there done properly e.g keywords,Titles.Use free ad sites such as craigslist etc. Create some blogs and link them to your articles and affiliate links, use video. Hit the traffic exchanges and promote your affiliate links.Start learning about ppc advertising.
Learn about creating a simple splash page to create a list.Above all take it step by step and try to enjoy it rather than get stressed out.It can be very creative and enjoyable. One steo at a time.Good Luck.

Here's my plan taken from another post I made last night...

    ----------------------------

I'd build the site up a ways before selling it so you can get all it's worth. A couple traffic tips...

    1) I would re-write the article and submit to ezine after your site, after ezine approves them submit to at least 5 other directories. GoArticles, article dashboard, article base, article alley, amazines, etc are all good ones. In each article, link back to the ezine version with one link and your site with the other.

    2) Take each article over to free traffic system and spin it/choose 30 blogs to post it on... This will give you a nice trickle of links to both your site and an article(s) of your choosing.

Obviously it can be hard to do everything at once but I'm starting to see results from thsi method and plenty of others I've heard of having success with it. If you think about it, if you wrote 100 articles on a topic. You'd have the following:

=> 100 unique posts of content on your site
=> 100 EZA's (all getting traffic to your site through a good resource box
=> 500 articles out there (that's low balling it and saying they're only on 5 directories.
    => 1000 backlinks (2 in each article)
=> An additional 6000 backlinks from FTS due to 2 links per article on 30 blogs each.

Now, I bet you if you actually work to put out this volume, you'd have a REALLY hard time not making sales and skyrocketing the positioning of your site.

    Best of luck,

    - Brandon

    ---------------------------------------

It might be a little hard to follow but, and not to toot my won horn too much, but I'm writing a WSO right now about how to take each step to get started making your first $$$ in article marketing.

God if you're new... don't go by a site. You need to learn to put together your own business model first, IM is very doable but I for one can attest to the fact that nothing is quite as easy as it sounds. If you're looking for a "pre-made business on autopilot with no work from you!" you aren't gonna have a very good go.

This is just my opinion, but a lot of people on here can probably also tell you that learning to take action for yourself is the only way to see paychecks.

P.S. I'm not saying working flippa.com is "the easy/lazy route" I just mean to say that with the wrong outlook you can turn cutting corners into a lot of lost $$$

I think ProductCreator was saying that they should look at sites on flippa.com to see examples of what profitable affiliate sites look like, so that they can model those sites and build something similar, not so they can buy sites from there.

When you are starting out with Internet Marketing start of with affiliate marketing,

Reason: everything is build for you. All you have to do is market it that's it.

The owner of the product spend alot of money and time into the product for him/her self and for there affiliates so the conversion is high as well.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Take action in what you have learned first.

If you learned something take Action and apply then go on to the next.

There's no right or wrong way, but your best bet is in using a combination of methods.

First, find a good niche and then a product to promote. Build a site and use the site to build a list as well as to promote a product. Then, use articles, videos, etc. to bring traffic to your site.

I'd suggest starting out with affiliate marketing and promoting using a combination of article marketing and YouTube. YouTube is fast and very effective. Do some research and you'll find plenty of ways you can use this social marketing platform to promote your affiliate products.

Thanks again, all help is greatly appreciated.

Any suggestions on best way to "infultrate" YouTube? I've read on here that some people have had their videos removed...

Is there a "magic formula" or is it just a case of try, try and try again?

    Thanks,

Don't setup more than one account and don't upload multiple versions of the same video. I think that's generally what gets people in trouble. That and using copyrighted material.

    fraser b,
come to think of it i just wrote an article in ezine articles that addresses your very question. here it is:

How To Get Ready Niche Profits From Your Business With Automation.

Want to get ready niche profits? Well in the the online marketing game there are two proven ways to make money period. Affiliate marketing, selling other peoples products and info marketing, selling your own products. Now when you start it is best to go the affiliate marketing route. Why, because it will save you the headache of creating your own product which takes time, money and painless research. What the gurus don't tell you is that you can outsource product creation to freelancers once you have enough money to do so. So if you are just starting out it will be hard. Also they don't tell you that you need to automate your business or you will burn out from all the tasks you have to do.
You need a help desk to handle customer support. This will involve hiring freelancers to man a support desk for refunds and related issues. This is why you should start with affiliate marketing.
Now in the beginning of your affiliate marketing quest you will be able to handle all the tasks but after a while when you begin to attach different niches you will need to automate things to.
You will need to have software to research keywords for your different markets. You will need software for article ideas, because you will not be able to afford pay per click advertising, if you are just starting out. You will need to be able to submit your articles to a wide range of article distribution sites for lots of backlinks and targeted traffic.
Once people click on your links you will need to have systems in place to take your prospects to a landing page to capture their names and email addresses from then onto a product review page where you sample three different but fairly similar products for the prospect to be able to make an imformed decision before buying.
As i said earlier, if you want ready niche profits you have to automate your business from the beginning to the end so that you will have more time for family and other important things in life.
