Ever Had Someone Request A Refund On An eBook Then Ask How To Return It?

Yeah... this really happened. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to but I still find it hilarious.

Makes about as much sense as offering them a second eBook if they just pay additional shipping and handlling.

Tell me I am not alone here.

Good for you for providing extra customer support by offering your phone number (unless you didn't and they hunted you down.)

I know I am not the only one this has happened to.

    what niche is this in?

not everyone is as tech savvy as warrior forum members.

(if it's in the IM niche, then that person has a lot to learn)

    regards

      Hi Simon,

It was in the houseplants niche (growing, caring for, etc). The ebook was targeted for people that wanted to grow their own houseplants.

From what I gather this was an elderly woman that lived in an apartment which kinda made it difficult at least to grow your own houseplants (other than some occasional Mary Jane)

No - but I once got an email that said to let them know if I didn't get it.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

I'm still waiting for you to tell me where to return it to. I can email or even fax it if email isn't available. Thanks!

Good point though! HOW CAN YOU return it? Many companies ask you to do so, but what can you do? Print it out and mail it? Email it? Delete it? I mean if you want to verify that you have followed the spirit of the contract, it just isn't possible.

OK Simon Ashari, I consider myself pretty tech savy. How do you do it? at least with a book, you know the regular book is returned.

As for the "2 for 1", with the second as a gift with the price being S&H, technically you could keep it and send the other back for a refund!

Some of these things just don't make sense. 8-)

    Mike Shain ,

If you don't feel one can grow houseplants in an apartment, why are you selling an ebook that implies you can? HECK, you can grow MANY plants indoors, even in a little apartment.

I had a guy actually send me back the ebook as an email attachment after I sent him a refund.

    I'm thinking "OK".

Ah, but on the plus side, she was ready and willing to return the product rather than trying to scam you in some way. That's really quite refreshing!

  • when i first started online (a few years now) i was selling my own ebook, i've had numerous replies when refunding people, asking how to return the ebook back to me, i think some people do this to sound like they really don't want the ebook, but want to claim back the money, because seriously anyone can claim back money for ebook. definatly with paypal as the payment processor, but i've had some very funny and very weird responses in my online time. i reckon people like to play dumb just to get a free ebook.
