Question About Offline Marketing Products...

I'm looking for recommendations on offline marketing products.

I've found myself jammed up time wise and don't have the time to devote to my sales staff...Can anyone make any recommendations as to a good package that explains selling websites/seo services?

I have my own training package half way put together, but in the time being I've got a couple sales people that need some more attention now...and I don't have the time to give them.

Jeremy

Are you training sales staff to sell for you? Or are you training them to do the actual work?

That's tough, but Andrew Cavanaugh's Offline Gold has some decent parts on sales, but I think you would need to filter some it so they don't run off and become a competitior. Check with Andrew to see if he cares if you edit it for your crew.

Here is a website that does training: These simple yet very creative strategies will bring you a windfall of new clients!

I can that this is a very good, helpful forum. I've been a member for a while now and have gotten a lot of good information. And I think there is a trial period.

Seems to me there's an old Chet Holmes video course, but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it. Send me a reminder on Skype tomorrow, and I'll see if I can figure it out.

This is the Chet Holmes course I was thinking of. I've heard the sales specific stuff rocks.

Chet Holmes - Business Growth Masters Series

I checked ebay and didn't see anyone selling the video version of the course.

I second Scott Gallagher.....his stuff is geared for just what you want to do...educate your staff on how to locate, approach, talk to local buisness owners & how to close the deals...also, how to do seminars for local business owners...
He's got some great video's, very easy to follow...

He's definately worth checking out Jeremy...

Check out his blog...some good info there:

*anyone currently in the offline markting field or looking to enter into it should check out the video on his blog page. It's a 90 min seminar, well worth it...take notes!

Also, there was a WSO just released last week by Chris Lagarde that covers much of what your looking for...has complete powerpoint presentations, scripts...everything one needs to talk to local business owners...your employees can learn a lot from this WSO. I highly recommend it....this to is well worth checking out...

They don't teach specifically on how to

But they give excellent strategies on how

    Hope this help.

P.S Andrew Cavanaugh's offline gold reports are pretty good as well.
You may check them out as his reports relate to selling online

      Hi Jeremy,

That is the problem you will face with nearly all Offline products sold around the web - they all cater for the online marketer looking to sell his/her IM services offline, ie 'This is how much you can make' etc.

There are many products that have some excellent material. There are also products that have been put together by 'pretend' offliners who want to make a quick buck selling 'offline gold' info that has just been rehashed.

I would suggest joining Offlinebiz.com - some fantastic training resources. However, bear in mind you can't just give your sales guys the username and passwords and say 'Off you go, log in, get trained and go sell'. I'm sure you know this anyway :-)

Even offlinebiz.com, although having fantastic training resources will still go out to show and promote how lucrative the offline arena is.

Speaking from personal experience the offline arena is very lucrative but at the same time hard work. You don't want your sales staff to go into competition with you by sending them to these training resources.

The resource mentioned above by davidofderbyshire also looks good. I do not have experience with it but i will definately be looking into it.

Your best bet is to use the training resources at these tried and tested sites and put your own training package together at the soonest.

It's tough going for training material

I've bought like 6 packages in the last 24 hours - All of them very good!

        BUT

Not exactly what I'm looking for, in the sense that they are geared towards marketers looking to get into the offline stuff.

So, I've put the "training" off until Monday and will more than likely make my own this weekend just so it is geared towards exactly what we are doing and I will have it for future.

One thing though...as I'm not a big consumer of the "offline gold" stuff, I didn't realize just how much good stuff was out there in that niche.

I'm going to pick up a couple of Tim Castlemans product this afternoon and consume them as well just to see what's what.

We have sales people based out of New Jersey and Delaware - Some of them are naturals even with the crossover from the B2B stuff they were doing before....some of them just need a little more understanding of "what" it is they are selling.

    Jeremy,

Check out Bryan Kumar's Offline WSO that's currently running. I wouldn't try to train an offline sales force without the info from his report.

Why not look outside of this incest-ridden, tiny group and to actual experts in the broader field of sales?
