newbs question on succeeding?

Hey All,
I first got the idea implanted in my mind that I wanted to make a living from websites from an ebook I bought from working nomad .com
It said that I could make a living by having a whole bunch of websites about one thing, and that the money is made by getting a cut of google's advertising, and also selling affiliate stuff.
I have around two years before my financial aid runs out for college, and will graduate with a pretty useless degree.
So, is being able to make $1000/month at the end of 2 years of steady work a common thing? Is it something that anyone can do? Do alot of people do it by just adwords commission and selling affiliate stuff?
I'm just trying to get a good picture of what I can expect.

ALSO, how many sites does one usually need? I know that the answer is somewhere between 1 and a 1000, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what a common successful network of niche websites is comprised of.

Champ your questions are to open, in that the rules differ from person to person, every thing is possible for those who want it and work toward it.

If the on line thing is not you passion and the only reason is it might make you some money then i think this is where many go wrong with th on line thing.

There are simply to many promos make money easy, fall out of bed while you sleep and make xyz, and i many ways its like real life, no shortcuts, it takes dedication and the ability to learn and adapt to the tools and market your working with.

Can it all be done what you want, yes if you want to put the work in, as for how many how little that will depend on another 100 variables.

wishing you the best in your outcome

The model you've described above is just one model to create an income.

Some issues with success revolve around being able to select a model and stick with it long enough for it to work.

Each niche is very different, so results can vary. There is also what goes into it that will determine what comes out.

For example, those websites you are talking about will need to have some content on them. If you are selling affiliate products and the sites are poorly written, your products may not convert.

On the flip side, you don't necessarily need 1,000 sites to achieve that income.

It can be done with much much less.

Oh well ! All of what we are doing & hope to achieve
      is pointless.

Ofcourse you can make money online, you just have
to work hard & be commited to what your doing & your
bank balance will start to grow, It took me about two
months before I got my first sale with Clickbank.

It is vital to be in a healthy market & to understand it &
to know who your competitors are & what you have to do,
to get a share in the marketplace & get as near the top of
page 1 on Google with the main keywords !

In my view here's what you need to succeed -- a willingness to learn, a "never give up" attitude even when things don't seem to go your way, lots of hard work, passion for what you are doing, and a model or method that actually works.

The last bit you either figure out on your own (might take ages) or learn from an ebook or some other IM product or get a coach/mentor who's had the success you want and work with him or her closely to replicate that success (faster but will cost more).

There are almost as many ways to make money on the internet as there are people making money on the internet.

Everybody has their own unique "twist" to it, either in methodology or execution, but yes, the short answer is that the basic plan you outlined above is doable, and the timeframe is doable.

One thing I would caution you against is thinking in terms of "websites."

Google doesn't understand "websites" in the same way you and I do.

What you want is a collection of keywords you can rank for, and content built around them.

How many? Impossible to answer. That depends on the keywords themselves, how often they're searched, what products or offerings you can associate with them, etc.

How soon depends on you. How many hours a day are you willing to work on it? If you only wanna work a couple hours a day, you probably won't hit your target in two years, but if you're willing to put in some serious hours on the front end, it'll pay you back and (more importantly) KEEP paying you back.

If you still have two years, you can definitely make that much every month within two years. Just make a goal to increase your income by $50 per month every month, and you will be there in two years.

Wow! I can't believe someone else on here is also from the Working Nomad forums.

Although I had already been selling my first ebook for a few years before finding the WN forums, his success was also my inspiration to begin finding other ways to make money on the internet.

While there are a few sites on the internet that are similar to Working Nomad, Webby (the owner of the site) created his own super-concentrated niche by targeting customers that are PT's (Perpetual Travelers). Some of the discussion on his forum is simply the sharing of "war stories" of their travels, but there is a lot of excellent information there. Comparing his and this forum, however, I would say this forum is the best, hands-down, of his or any other forum, for that matter, of its kind.

But his ebook does lay out a solid business plan, and it obviously worked for him, so there is no reason why it shouldn't work for you, as well, if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

In addition, you now have the advantage of the collective knowledge of the people on this wonderful forum to help you branch out into other money-making opportunities and gain even more success.

I'm new here myself, and I have already learned TONS of new things that I have begun implementing into my projects already. And there so much more here that you could never use probably even 1/8 of the ideas in a lifetime.

Best of luck to you, future Working Nomad.

The successful person understand a few key concepts that will make them successful no matter what challenges they are faced with. Stay motivated no matter what happens.

1.) Have strong belief in yourself and in your work that there is no way you can fail.

2.) Do whatever it takes to reach your goals.

3.) Be patient. Pursue your dreams no matter how long it takes.

4.) Be persistent. Never quit and think you failed.

In the end i want to say TAKE ACTION and after that stay motivated. No matter what happen dont leave it...you will succeed one day.
