360.360 Potential Blog Posts In 30 Minutes

Hey guys,

What I'm about to share isn't as such revolutionary, but I figured it would be worth sharing anyway. I run a few blogs with affiliate ads on all of them and adsense ads on a couple of them. Sometimes it can be a bit of a struggle to come up with new content. That is, it used to be!

I now use a simple method that is working rather well for me. Here it is.

  1. Find a product to promote.
  2. Enter the url of the product page into the Google Adwords Keyword tool using the "Website Content" tab.
  3. Sort by "Global Monthly Search Volume"
  4. Select all keywords that do not have a full green bar with more than 500 searches and all keywords with a low green bar and more than 300 searches.
  5. Click on the "Get More Related Keywords" button
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until there are no more keywords to select.
  7. Do a google search with quotes for all keywords and remove all keywords with more than 50.000 competing sites.
  8. Pick any 5 keywords and research them by either searching on ezine articles or using tools such as Instant Article Wizard or Answer Analyst.
  9. Write a blog post based on that research and make sure to include the keywords.
  10. Repeat step 8 and 9 as many times as you want to.
  11. Find new product and repeat steps 1-10 as many times as you like to.
This is a great way to come up with lots of new content with keywords that are relevant to the product you are promoting. During my last stint at this I had a final list of 15 keywords which I can combine in up to 360.360 different ways and that is potentially that many blog posts or articles.

It's a really simple method that is in no way revolutionary or ground breaking, but I have found that it is a great way to continually create new content for my blogs.

This is definitely a method I am going to try out very shortly. Sounds like a cool way to find long tail keywords with little competition and a relatively high number of searches.

    Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the comments guys. One thing I forgot to add is that with this method you will find some true nuggets of gold. I have found several keywords with 300, 500 or even 1000 searches a month with less than 100 competing sites. It's pretty easy to get ranked for those keywords.

Turning that ranking into money is another thing though and that depends entirely on how you utilize this knowledge. I would encourage you to do a search on google for "making money with fresh" in quotes. One of those results is mine and it gets more than 300 searches a month. In fact, I just did that search and ranked 1st. Without the quotes it's only on page 5 which isn't too bad considering that particular post was posted today.

My point is, look out for those nuggets of gold!

What I do is to look at the articles already in my niche in EZA. I make a list of 20 keywords that others are trying to rank for. Then I stick them into the Google keyword tool and it spits out lots of good other keywords.

As you have found, the tool can give good keywords if you give it a good "seed". It seems to make all the difference.
That is so true. It's easy enough to stuff in a random broad keyword, but sometimes it helps to be more specific. My idea was to see what kind of keywords the site I wanted to promote was ranked for in google to allow me to become more relevant. Googles keywordtool gives you a lot of keywords that might not seem like a perfekt fit, but if you get a bit creative you can do wonderful stuff with it.

Just a sidenote, you need an adwords account to do this. The wbsite tab I mention isn't available in the external keyword tool. Just a quick FYI.
