Default ClickBank Hoplink Ads

Does anyone use ClickBank Hoplink ads?

I'm noticing that lately there have been a lot of times when I've looked at my site only to see a "Service Temporarily Unavailable" message displaying where ads should be. Since I'm not looking at my site 24/7, I'm wondering how often this is happening now.

Anyone else seeing this a lot?

I took them down - they were repeating same products - weren't targeting keyword correctly, etc. Worse - I was getting NO results with them.

Edit: I shouldn't say "no results" - had two sales through them, both refunded quickly.

It seems to work better on niche sites than ones that are broader and where I've stuffed a bunch of different keywords.

I used them to replace Google AdSense on my blog. Did that when Google knocked me down to a PR0 and cost me some of my sponsors. So, I figured there's no way I'm letting Google make money off my site if they don't want me making money off it. So, Google AdSense went bye-bye. They've since moved me up to PR2, but they're going to have to do better than that before AdSense goes back up on the site.

Petty, and probably ineffective and pointless, I know. But, it's a matter of principle now.

I might have to switch over to EPN or Amazon ads if ClickBank keeps having these "Service Temporarily Unavailable" messages instead of ads.
