Which do you like best for Wpress?

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi All,

Would you use Fantatico or SimpleScript? Trying to decide b/n HostMonster or HostGator. I am told simpleScript is much easier to use.

I've never used simplescript but fantastico is very easy IMO and I use it on HostGator.

I haven't used SimpleScript but have installed hundreds of WP Blogs with Fantastico (and manually) and as Fantastico is so easy (and fast) to use, it's hard to imagine the process being any easier.

Also, I have many hosting accounts with HostGator and have been with them for more than three years. I love both their service and support and highly recommend them.

I have used about 5 or 6 other hosting companies (before HG) and the only other one I would personally recommend is MidPhase.

As long as you go with Hostgator, their Fantastico is always pretty much up to date. Some other hosts do not update their software on a regular basis and Fantastico would then install older versions of Wordpress.

So in your choices, Hostgator is a good choice. If anyone doesn't like Fantastico (or the results) it is probably because they used it on another host.

I am not familiar with SimpleScripts.

Neither - I do all my installs manually.

But I also recommend Hostgator - I've only been with them for about 6 months, but they've impressed me at every turn.

I use manual install everytime, but a while back i was reading somwhere, can't remember where, but the article i was reading said never to use fantastico as there is some security issues, not sure if that's true though.

  Hands down, simplescripts wins.
  
  They have just incorporated an additional function that will auto upgrade all your blogs in one fell swoop.
  
  Not to mention all the other scripts other than wp that it can handle.

  All your sites could go down through your plugins not being compatible.
  
  I have not seen simple scripts myself, but prefer installatron to fantastico, it is robust, and much lighter on the server load.
