What If You Had An Internet Marketing Time Machine?

If you could travel back in time to when you were first starting your internet marketing journey, what would you do differently, knowing what you know now?

Would you choose a different business model?

Would you hire a mentor?

Would you have chosen different people to learn from?

Would you adopt a different mindset?

In my case, I would've focused on building an email subscriber list form the start. It's something that I started doing when I first began selling online, but I didn't put as much effort into it as I should have. Looking back, if I'd built up a list from the start, I would've had advantages both from having an audience of potential customers who were interested in what I had to say, and I would've had leverage in terms of approaching potential joint venture partners.

What about you?

Would have started building a list from day one.

Would have started a blog from day one.

Would have done whatever it took to afford a mid level mentor after a month or two.

Would have started using the WF more actively.

Apart from that, pretty happy with what I've done so far, although with everything there is always room for improvement

If I could turn back time I would go back and use my earnings & time wisely. Make sure you invest in the future!

I didn't want to pay high rate tax so didn't do any further work and just lived off the continued income, played golf and lived the high life. Now there is no income and its like im starting from scratch.

Grabbing good domain names is obvious.

What I would do is to have started using article marketing much, much sooner. You know, instead of listening to the people that, several years ago, said that article marketing was dead.

Or, maybe I would have wished to have found and joined the Warrior Forum sooner. Maybe then I wouldn't have gotten that advice that article marketing was dead.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Aside from list-building, I would blog at least once a week and write at least 2-3 articles every week. After almost two years, I'd have a content empire...it's funny how easy it is to make money, isn't it?

Very. Imagine if people took the time they spend chasing the next big thing and used it producing content, building links, etc.

Definitely build a list, and provide more valuable content.

But then again, everyone must go through a learning phase and I don't regret my uncountable failures - they only make me stronger and wiser.
