Due to the new rules of the ftc , does that mean infoprenuers can no longer have testimonials on there site or is it just bogus testimonials ?

The main thing is that you can't make it look like great testimonials are "typical"...

I wrote an article with my take on it here... Emotional Copywriting | Why The New FTC Ruling Will HELP Smart Marketers?

Hope that helps.

If you heard the interview Mr. Clealand from the FTC it was pretty straightforward.

If you don't have data about what a "typical result" is yet you can rely on:

a) Satisfaction Testimonials "It was a great product!"
b) Your own story of what happened with you (so long as you make it clear that your result is not the typical result people will get)

Once you have enough customers you can get data on what's typical "in the depicted circumstances".

The interviewer asked him if the average of 100 customers out of 1,000 would be enough yet establish typicality. He basically said "yes" if those 100 were randomly chosen but not if they were just your best cases.

Maybe you've already read it. If not, here's a link to the new FTC revisions that I hope will answer your question. FTC Publishes Final Guides Governing Endorsements, Testimonials
