Clickbank displaying my login details

Hi, My apologies if this has been covered before. I did try a search but couldn't find an answer.

I have just created a clickbank account and set up a link to the vendor's landing page. During a test I clicked on the 'buy now' button and scrolled down to the bottom to confirm my clickbank nickname was there. It was, but also my login password. This is a bit disconcerting, as it gives anyone who sees it (potentially everyone I send to the vendor) access to my account. Is this normal, or (as I suspect) have I missed something.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

Did you use the "create hoplink" feature? My only guess would be that you entered your password in the tracking code area.

Other than this, I have no idea-but I'd contact CB support right away.

You didn't by chance put your password as a tracking ID did you?

I know it's silly to ask, but that's generally the second part of the hop link and the part after the "." on the checkout page.

i.e. on the bottom it would say (affiliateID.trackingID)

You may want to try and recreate that hoplink and get rid of the old one wherever you're promoting it.

The mystery is solved. You guys were absolutely right. I'd filled in the IDkey field when creating the hoplink. Redone and pasted. Alls well with the world :-)
